Default Stub Axle Bolt Torque

I am looking to set the torque on the stub axle bolts that hold it in. Anyone know?

Phil

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but there is an excerpt of the Jag service manual covering the differential in the Owner's section of the ERA site.

Assuming you are tightening the bolts that hold the stub axle housings to the main housing, the torque on those is 55 lbs/ft. That is for an early style Jag rear. That number may change with the later styles.

I think he's talking about the front......the stub axle has a huge nut holding it to the spindle....I dont remember how tight it is ...I do know I used a nylock nut though.....I wouldn't go much more than 100 lb/ft

55 lbs is what I was looking for and set them pretty close to that. Thanks.
