Congratulations on placing your order. I found color to be the hardest choice I made on mine, but was pleased with the outcome.
It's hard to beat a black car. The darker colors really make the chrome pieces pop.

Welcome to the line. It moves slowly, but like 1970s Disneyworld, it’s an E-ticket ride!

Love the idea of a 427 Street car, that's what I'm building (90% done) In the paint shop as we speak. There has never been a question of mine being anything but 67 XKE BRG. Just my $,02.

So these showed up on my doorstep late yesterday. I guess I'm officially in the parts gathering mode.

Who made the wheels?
If they are all 7" wide, make sure ERA knows that if/when they build the rear suspension. We usually use longer control arms to move the wheels out a bit to fill the wheel opening.

This is interesting and good to hear. When I spoke to Peter about putting Sunburst wheels on 821 and ways to get the wheel/tire to better fill the wheel well he never mentioned this. I suggested to him to make custom hubs 1" inch thicker but he thought that would be very expensive.
How much do the longer control arms move the wheels out?

The longer control arm suspension is no longer available from ERA.

My suggestion to Peter was to make the pin drive flange about 1" thicker and longer drive pins to accommodate the thicker flange. His estimate on that was about $2500 with a lead time of 3 to 6 months.

Well, that's odd. I think Peter's street roadster has the longer rear suspension arms. Surprising Bob would not be aware of that. I think Evan (ACHiPo) was also planning on those also to work with his Sunburst Wheels.

Paint colour? What about dark green, as on CSX3357? To my eye, nothing looks more like an original Cobra than a 427 roadster in dark green, with Sunburst wheels.
Here's CSX3357....
Incidentally, its original colour was dark blue (which would have looked great too).
Cheers,
Glen

These are the wheels that Gary Kumerow is making and I believe that he will be bringing a couple sets to y'all in the near future. They are 7.5" wideand I do like the idea of moving the rear track out just a bit.

Outstanding! I wish I had a street car, in addition to the SC, so I could buy a set of those wheels.

Those look really nice. Any idea if they come machined in any different off-sets or if he plans any over-width versions, say 8-1/2 inch rims? You definitely would want to have ERA lengthen the axles/control arms.
