My understanding is that the only change on the next run of wheels is to drill some with five pin holes.

I should also mention another reason to have ERA go with the slightly wider track in the rear is it gives you more room to run tail pipes all the way through to the rear (if that's your intent) and still allow a bit larger tire to fit also.

CSX3357 is just perfect and the exact look that I'm wanting. If I was to rank my color choices this morning, it would be:
1. Black
2. Red - I think Porsche's Carmine Red has the perfect vintage look to it
3. Dark green, either BRG or Ford's '66 Ivy Green metallic
4. Blue - not sure which shade, but my previous ERA was Guardsman Blue
5. Silver
114. Beige

I agree that 3357 is perfect! I will throw my opinion at your mix regarding green. I would strongly suggest that you go DARK BRG, and not use Ivy Green Metallic. This car looks absolutely killer in dark green, but the metallic changes things a lot and takes away from the period look IMO. My experience with dark BRG is that it often looks nearly black, so you can have your cake and eat it, too. You get choice 1 and 3...sort of. Here's a shot of ERA 488 for further inspiration.

Being 114 is paying a compliment to lovers of beige Cobras. Far too high in your rankings. I'll re-rank it for ya, using your rankings (not mine):
1. Black
2. Red
3. Dark green
4. Blue
5. Silver
999999999. Pink Poka Dots
NEVER. Beige
While I like 66gtK's beautiful ERA, personally, I'm not a big fan of green cars. If it were me and I was going for an original street 427 look. I'd think White, Black or Silver. While I love blue, for my taste, they're so difficult to get the right shade. Red would be in the running too.

Thanks Dan. It will definitely have undercar exhausts, so that's good to know.

Mine is the Toyota indigo blue metallic. I love the color. Looks black in the shade and dark blue under cloudy skies, light blue in the light. If I were to do it again, I'd go with Lambo silver metallic. My stripes are that color. I saw a cobra with it as primary and love it.
That, or beige.

Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripes is of course wonderful, but I’m building a street car, so no stripes, plus my last ERA were those colors.

Hmmm, now that sunbursts are available and I'm told that several sets are going on ERA cars, maybe they will start making the longer control arms again. If they made them once, they can make them again. Otherwise the rear wheels are going to be tucked in the rear hips pretty far, just like a real street Cobra.

Yep - 427 Street, who I haven't seen on here in awhile, liked the wide hip look with the Sunburst wheels and tires buried back inside. But it's definitely an acquired taste that I just don't think I could ever manage to acquire.
It would be great if the Sunburst Wheels could be had in a bit wider rim with a lesser rear offset - but the outer face doesn't readily lend itself to adapting to a deeper dish face without loosing their classic appearance.
It would be great if ERA would offer a narrow hip version. But to do it right they would need revised rear fender molds and revised front fender molds to correct the lower, rear flare on the wheel opening.

or...maybe they can make a narrow hip option for us street car freaks! I'd rather have that than a wider rear track.

Also reshape the aluminum trunk panels and if trunk is carpeted then it needs to be cut and re bound on outside edges. It's a lot of trial and error making templates.

Well they already had the proper front posterior wheel arch profile in the earlier cars so that should be simple enough to put back (:

Yes, that's true. Wonder if they have their old molds. Bet they do.
