My toggle has a very small light in the tip that illuminates when turned on.

But it might not be.... For that toggle light to come on it must have both 12v+ and a ground connection there at the switch. The ERA dash toggle switch for the fans is passing a ground connection only to the fan relay. There is no positive feed there at that switch. Changing it out to a "lit" toggle may be more complicated than you think, especially if that "lit" switch is designed to control the positive feed and the little light is an LED.

Adding a positive feed for illumination in a switch controlling a negative pass-thru circuit is a recipe for a smoking disaster! The bulb shares the path to ground back thru everything that is grounded…. Smoke and flames!

Wow, makes sense. I am actually following you on this...LOL.
I did order the light you posted the link for. It came a few days ago, nice quality. I have a million jobs to do before I tackle that. The only challenge will be wiring it up correctly to accomplish what you first intended it to do
