welcome to ERA ownership! Very nice car, and worth the extra investment.

Russ,

Congratulations! Hope you have a great time with it! Take your time a little getting used to it - its a lot of car.

ERA will have almost anything you need, and are great people.

BTW, Great Color!

Russ,

I am not a fan of the flannel lined covers, they accumulate abrasive material. Look at the California Car Cover web site and get their better cover, what's a 300.00 car cover for a 60,000.00 car??? It's light weight and washable at home and if your out and get caught in the rain, put it over the car. It's waterproof except for the seams. A few drops is better than 1" in the floor. BTW I had the flannel cover (3 months) sold that baby.
Sears has one of the better Aluminum Racing Jacks, Craftsman Guarantee, you can catch them on sale for about 179.00.
Use thick nylon webbing on your jackstands (4 needed) this will prevent scratching the frame up. You can attach with adhesive or do a little duck tape work.
Can't wait for your assesment of your car...kinda like Christmas all over again.

ERA649 - A lift would be nice and someday I might get one for my shop. Right now I am okay with the jackstands and a creeper.

Red ERA/Tim - Yes I have already hooked up with a few of the local folks. I hope to join the local club and should attend the next meeting once I find out where and when. I will be up for as many drives as possible when the weather breaks.

Rick - On the flannel covers, I am thinking the same as I want to keep the dust off it when in the garage and those covers seem to attrack the dust. I checked out Branda, Finishline and Back East. They were all flannel/cotton based so I think I will pass. I get a ton of dust in summer here.

Looks like a good indoor cover is the "dustop" brand fabric. California car cover has it. I think I need it mostly for storage in the garage not that much for weather protection. The one you are suggesting must be the "superweave" product from cal covers. Looks nice and works both indoors and out. A plus is being able to wash it.

Russ
