As a general rule that is right, but we should reserve the right to reject those certain "undesireable" ERA owners. They know who they are!

Since you're just in the "definition stage" of the owner's group - and the "founding fathers" seem to be all in New England, you might consider a "winter gathering" in Florida - trailer your cars down for a week - tie it in with the DSCC track week end either in Starke or Gainesville's road racing track. Just running hot laps, no racing or passing. That would enable some of us "below the Mason / Dixon" line owners to hook up with y'all. We would welcome you Jimmy Buffet style!! Rick

FWIW...I just ordered a trailer for my car yesterday and I know a lot of us that don't live in the Northeast would love to join this sort of thing and wouldn't mind packing up the car to do it.....My wish would be for it somewhere more central located but that may be asking to much. My plan is to be at Run and Gun next year for the first time so I hope to see some of you there.

I tried back in November to ad my car and didn't have any luck either. I did get ahold of the owner a year or so ago and asked if he would allow someone else to keep it up and he replied it could be bought for 50K. I believe that's the figure he quoted.

That's not encouraging. For $50k you would have to have some serious love for ERA.

Still no response and they haven't posted the picture I emailed, to the site. I'm afraid the site is a goner - frozen in it's current state.

Hi Dan, Don't be discouraged. I registered my ERA with the ERA Registry nearly 2 years ago with no results until a few months back. For kicks, I went on to see if anything was updated and lo and behold my ERA is now listed, picture and all. Whoever owns the Registry is extremely slow to update the info. Check back occasionally, eventually it gets done. Art

I had the same results. It took months and numerous emails to register my ERA 289 Slabside #3010.

Well - 10 months later still no picture of #782 posted in the ERA Owner Group site. The site is still there but appears to be brain dead - flat lined - on life support - no sign of life - terminal - road kill
Oh well

ERA owners don't seem to be as social as many others . We must be a strange breed

Well, yeah - I have been told I resemble that description. But I thought it was just because I'm an engineer.

I realize this an old thread but has there been any thought about resurrecting the ERA Owners Group/Registry and or a "driving" Club? Always looking for an excuse to get the Cobra on the road. I would think we could get a good group of cars (not exclusive to ERA's) at least a couple times a year for some road events.

I think that's a great idea. I'm in CT and there are many of us I think. Some kind of tri-state area group would be a lot of fun.
