Default Reply and Question

Sam, I had ERA bond the body to the frame. I did the rest. Now the question. I don't want to put the exterior rear view on the fender.
The screws on the windshield are not US or metric. Probably english wentworth (sp). Where would I find Them?

Ahh, Joseph Whitworth, bane of the british car restorer. His fasteners can be found here: http://www.britishfasteners.com/mm5/merchant.mvc

Well, the comp cars used the Raydot mirrors mounted on the windshield frame ...

I just laid some blue painter's tape down and measured twice per the manual, then bit my lip and drilled the fender Use the correct drill size, and then go easy when inserting the screws, backing out every 1/2 turn as you go. Same for the dash mirror.

Glad you found the screws, I think they went to SAE threads on the later cars. Peter calls them "witless" screws

Sam
