Cole Hersee makes several different brake switches. The actuating pressure might or might not vary between them. Haven't tested them myself, nor have I ever looked at a Painless switch. Our switch seems to actuate at about 1 or 2 lbs force at the pedal. The biggest problem with some switches is that they are not designed for the high pressures in disc-braked systems and fail too quickly in use.
