Today is the one year anniversary of the first drive! Took 2136 out for a long cruise today in the cool but dry weather, the car runs great.

Still have a few small items in the instrument panel to attend to. Need to replace the water temp gauge as it reads low. The oil temp gauge does as well, will need to check on that one too. Lastly need to find the short that is somewhere in the instrument panel light circuit / parking light circuit. Nothing serious, but for now I just enjoy driving the car. Will take it apart when the weather really turns cold and wet.

Been swapping the roll bar setup back and forth between the standard single FIA hoop and the custom full width roll bar. With the help of a buddy it takes about 40 minutes to make the change. I put a small amount of white grease on the roll bar & frame bits that slide together, makes taking things apart a lot easier. Also use a box end wrench with blue painter's tape on one side to capture the nut, that goes on the cross bolt which attaches the bar to the frame, inside the rear bulkhead. Haven't lost one yet ( but there is always a first time )

Now that I have had some seat time, I am a lot more comfortable in knowing the car's limits and mine too. I still treat it with a healthy dose of respect as things can happen rather quickly.

Total miles on the clock in one year is 2,077 as of 12/31/12 … hope to put even more miles on by this time next year !
