I replaced my entire suspension and for simplicity I went with the FFR Konis. Everything worked great except I needed to manufacture (find) a couple of replacement spacers. Because the MK Is are older the supplied spaces didn't cut it. The other issue was the adjustability of the Konis was a bit difficult to experiment with. The process for changing the dampening was hard to execute. I'd be glad to discuss if you want. PM me your contact info.
