Corby,
Have you tried the FE forum? I know one of the guys on there at one time was talking about remanufacturing the distributor extention for the M/T cross ram. Good luck.

it's more of a offset.....the distributor needs to be modified, and there is a plug thats sits down into the motor acting as a bushing. the piece that is the unobtainium is the offset housing which has a shaft with a cam gear to drive your oil pump and the offset gear to drive the distributor. i have a drawing of the dizzy mods i'll post for you.

It's not an offset.

It's basically two distributors cut up and lengthened.

Bring two FE distributors to a good machinist, along with the manifold, and he should be able to fix you up.

Ditto on posting this question on the fordfe.com forum.

Problem with the extra long distributor shaft is you get sloppy at higher rpm's.

Maybe a DIS system?

Just now starting the long road to recovery, Russ. They seem to have had their fill of poisoning me and radiating me, now I have to try to get back to normal, if I can ever remember what that is! Thanks for asking!

Good machine shop. As noted - those are "makable" parts.
