Hey Keith,
I had the same problem when I put one original style Paxton on a 351 vs a 302 in that Superformance Cobra. Craig Conley at Paradise Wheels in Ca who still rebuilds these Paxtons made me a bigger disc inside that flowed twice the air and it took it from 4 or 5 PSI up to about 12. The engine just flat ran out of air and I was running a 750 holley inside the bonnett with huge jets. Once the new Paxton with the bigger disc was put on the thing screamed.
