10W-30 Valvoline VR1 oil (not synthetic)

I don't know if there is an oil restrictor.

How much oil pressure would you like to see at idle?

The valve train noise seems to be much less off idle.

Build sheet shows - .080 oil restrictor in DSCK
Elgin lifters HL-2083 HPS

It sounds like the first suggestion is thicker oil. Does that mean 20W-50.
