A fluoroelastomer Avon thread?  That wouldn't make any sense.  And do you know what a nuisance that job would have been had I not had the foresight to have a custom removable Turkey Pan made? That would have been an all-day job just to replace a dang PCV hose. And if I wiped off the lettering how would I know what the hose was five years from now? No, carefully rotating the hose so the lettering is facing down is the better way.
