I'm very surprised that your mags are noticeably lighter than mine. Mine were from the 1990 sets-near the end. Yours being from the later batch may account for a change of alloy or construction-I just don't know. There were two different foundries I believe but never could trace their origins. Mine were from when Barry Blackburn (sp?) owned the company.
Chime in if you know some Halibrand company history after Ted.
