3/4-16 is standard fine thread fastener size. 3/4" diameter, 16 threads per inch. It's what your nipple size is for a standard SBF, BBF, etc.

....(nipple) as would thread into the oil filter's female connection shown in this example.

The fitting size needed for your hose connections is another measurement, and the 3/4"-16 doesn't apply.

thats the thread for your oil filter...... 3/4-16
it'll take a standard oil filter
the npt fittings on the side or top will be either 3/8 npt or 1/2 npt.

is it like this

Brad, yep, thats the one.
Here's the link:

anyone know which of the fittings Brad suggests it might be?
Also (more ignorance) is NPT a taper or straight thread?

FWB's actual name is Fred....he just sells Brad Penn oil.

If I remember correctly, those are 1/2-NPT to AN fittings.

NPT is tapered (the T means tapered).

thanks, and FWB isn't for friends with benefits either.........
its my actual initals....lol

i'm just going thru fabing up my oil lines too, i'm not using that type of remote housing, i got a WIX housing and mounted it on the frame rail at the rear of the motor right behind the motor mount, so the filter hangs down right around where my drain plug is. my lines end up being less than a foot long each.

damn Nick, its like Hollywood, did you get a manicure for the photo shoot?
