If money's not an issue and you're looking for the best you can buy what is best option (putting aside those who want Shelby block for their CSX)?

The Pond block requires a little more prep work, but I would put it in top spot on my list.

I don't think the Pond block is worth it now with BBM and Side Oiler being a grand cheaper, Shelby is way to much, I have seen the BBM block and it looks fine plus I have seen a few built and the numbers looks fine... I tried to keep my money in the USA but at this point im will buy the best deal out there when it comes to parts, the Korean quality is there...

BBM does not currently have an aluminum block and won't for a bit.

I heard that they were hot sellers, I wonder why more don't use an iron block, seems like it makes more power and will last twice as long, I wonder if anyone can even feel the weight difference on a street car...

I have seen them built, they are on the website, Brent B has one on there that could pull a building, a big big building, and Blairs fe made some record power, a guy here in az has an iron block I did see in person and it looks like the rest of them, next to a pond block, don't know how it is to machine but BBM says he will offer them cheaper than most blocks..
