I think I recall him saying he has Ford factory rockers. You don't have a necked down bolt sitting on the workbench that you could take a quick pic of, do you?

I do have the factory rockers. They have a block that holds the rocker up which I think would block the oil return. Below is a pic of the rocker.

I noted this in my Ford FE book. Looks like for hi riser intakes all bolts are the same length and absent the need for the smaller neck on the one bolt.

That's a nice exception. I didn't even think you could stuff a hi-riser under a Cobra hood.

Yes, and not quite what I am used to seeing as a "Hi Rider". My intake is below.

Yeah, but you don't have high riser heads....you have edelbrocks. Rockers don't depend on the intake but the cylinder heads that they are bolted to.

Ok, so now I am confused. Do I used the same bolts or not?

I don't know because I haven't tried, but I would be more concerned about running high riser rockers on a low/med riser head. High riser rocker stands are not the same height as the others and could potentially really screw up your rocker geometry unless it was accounted for at assembly time.

Builder sized everything to work. Edelbrock recommended helicoils with red Loctite so that will be my approach.

Used a Jergens thread locker and went to Edlebrock studs / shafts. Put the intake on and then rockers and torqued down to 45 lbs. Plan to put the distributor in and carbs, water pump, overflow tank, and a bunch of little things tomorrow.
