Its just another place that can spring a leak.......The electronic one is ok ..put the sender in the hole in the log ..where that little guage is. But that is now putting voltage at the fuel log??

Yeah, there's that!!
If you absolutely have to have one, then do it properly.
I actually got tired of looking at fuel pressure and instead installed a fuel level gauge right next to it, so now I have both.

The electronic sensor is completely isolated electrically from fuel and any metal of the fuel line.

A Stepper motor fuel pressure gauge with a sensor is the safest way these days.
