I have to agree with the top posts. I think most would love a 427 but lets face it they are very expensive and hard to find parts for. I think you could build 2 428's for the cost of 1 427 (or close). As a side note Ive seen a real trend of people going to the 460 motors because the parts are available from Ford and a complete brand new high output motor from ford could be gotten for less than 7K.
