Default stainless/ chrome bolts 427

Does anybody know the sizes of the bolts for a 427 & toploader transmission. I am looking to use 12 point bolts. Or does any offer a kit for these misc. items. I already purchased the ARP engine kit but that did not cover everything.

Bell housing to Block

Top loader transmission to Lakewood Bell housing

top loader access plate at the top

etc.

Priobe,
Measure the thread depth, type and bolt size. Call ARP and order the closest lengths.
If you are running aluminum heads, do the same for the header bolts. The bolts they call "header bolts" are usually 3/4" length. When you add the header flange, gasket and any locking device thickness, that length is a joke. I have found 1" length bolts work in my friend's 392 right off the shelf. I plan on ordering the same lengh for my FE. They will be trimmed if needed.
Steve

Nice engine detail. I really like the redundancy of the two fan belts

May I suggest Fastnal?

You can order out grade 8 or hard SS.

Just a thought.

Since ARP is in my backyard, I was able to get the bolts to do what you want.

Several of the bolts are not in the catalog but they have them. I used SS 12pt bolts and have the Part #'s and a contact. My app is a FE block to Lakewood to Toploader.

I bought five packs but you can also buy quanity one.

Send me a PM if this is what you want.

Gary

www.totallystainless.com. They have bolt kits for FEs, and just about every other type of motor.
