No offense but I'm not a fan of throttle cables, especially with the near 180 your cable makes over the headers. ERA's all use rods and I fabbed thicker diameter solid rods (not all thread) with quality heims. Works very well for many years.
You're soon to add the return springs, right?
Would you mind posting a shot with the hat off? I'd love to see Barry's mod to the air horns.
Should run very well and please post results. Make little travel indicators for the vac sec linkages, you'll see how little they actually open even when you load it heavily.

It only makes sense to put the rear carb lever closer to the center of axis compared to the front carb. You need that second carb to be fully open when the primary carb is. The back carb requires less linkage travel that the front carb to have the butterflies wide open. If you do it the other way the rear carb's butterflies will never open all the way.


I don't like the cable linkage either but I'm sort of stuck with it. That s, unless you know of some type of retrofit that would work?

I'll post after the road test..

I'm very pleased with the carbs.. Kudos to Quick Fuel and Barry.






I took it for a spin today and everything appears to be leak free, fuel/antifreeze/oil.. So far so good

Thanks for the pics. Very nice set up. What do you think of the ERA linkage? How does it return to idle with no return springs or am I not seeing them?

Each carb has it's own spring, wound around the the primary throttle blade shaft. That keeps it returning to idle. I do realize that I need some other springs too as I've ordered a set of Moroso low tension stainless carb springs that'll be here Friday. Hopefully they'll be light enough so as not to overpower my cable throttle linkage.

The ERA throttle linkage won't work in my application due to body manufacturing differences.

That is my favorite looking manifold of all of them! That intake came on CSX3104 when we first got it. I still like it. WAY COOL! It is still around here somewhere.

If you are luckey enough to find one, Ford made them back in the day. I had one with a pair of 715's sweet set up, but gone now darn.

The Tunnel Wedge Intake is being reproduced & readily available. DOVE makes them. Carl's Ford advertises them & also DSC Motorsports. I'm sure Keith & Barry stock them along with Pops Performance.

Yep - we sell them. I provided the one now on Dave's car. We test fit it and touched a couple things up here for him before shipping it out.
Not unusual on these to need to tweak a few things...

I bought my Dove TW in 1991 and it needed a huge amount of "tweeking" as Barry says. Pushrod holes, bolt holes and angle to heads/rails all over the place. It was I think the 7th or 8th out of the tooling and was a mess. I also waited about 5 months to get it. Held up my engine assembly.
Casting flash all over the seams needed grinding and filing and of course port matching. I wish Art at Blue Thunder had made one-it would be flawless.
Wasn't porus though and has lasted fine all this time.
