Hi Bernie,
I doubt if he is worried cause it's kinda like McDonalds worried over Joe's Hot Dog Cart.
I saw a lot of photos from Carlisle and it appears that the kit car industries is
doing very well indeed. RCR looked to have a super selection of kits. I do like that Superlight Roadster.

Fran,
I do want a track burner Exo. When you get that one sorted for the track I'll have a look.

Hersh,

I am only offering the roadster in one rolling format, although you can chose your own FWD drivetrain, so you will have to be your own Alonso and set it up for the track....

Fair enough Fran, I guess what I'm really interested in is where
you put the cooling pipes, radiator, battery and the fuel cell.
The fiberglass pieces you spoke of adding is of interest as well.
There is no doubt that whom ever designed the front suspension new what he was doing. I think this is the first one I've seen with the steering rack on top. Which in my opinion is the best place for good track manners.
It seems that the Exo skelital type car is popping up more and more these days. There are at least five that I'm aware of. The Superlite, the Kirkham Rush, the MEV Rocket, the Twin Tech, and of course the Atom. I'm sure if there isn't more then there will be as this type of car is growing very fast in popularity. I believe there will be a racing class just for them in the future.
The best thing about these is the choice of engines available. I like the GM four cylinder line up. I believe that this engine called the Ecotec is the small block of the future. There is hardly a limit to what you can do with this motor. They already offer a supercharger for it.

Hersh

PS.. Bernie, I can't resist

Rad is front mounted and the cooling pipes run under the shifter. The gas tank and battery reside behind the seats....the production car will have a drop in seat/floor/tub in GRP. This is still being finished...we showed the rolling chassis at Carlisle to see what kind of interest there was for a lightweight simplistic roadster that did not cost an arm and a leg.

Hersh, the Cobalt SS Ecotec comes with a blower from the factory.....thats what is in ours. We plan to have both of the new Superlite cars driving around Michigan for the open house at the new RCR shop/Woodward cruise weekend.
Dont forget Hersh that ours is only 16k as a roller and it comes with a digital dash ...datalogging/GPS track mapping facility can be added for a small upcharge.

I received an email stating that the Atom base price is rising 6k very shortly too...ouch.
