Final share before PU, all done.
Doors, hood, boot and rear clip. Gotta PU then comes installation.
Getting excited as it just may be together by Fall.

Preparing tank for replacement.
HTM111 had a alloy skin, plastic tank with foam through-out.
Making a fresh alloy tank via Craig Coombe which will be alloy baffled and new being the same size as to not create other issues.
Seems like the opportune time.
Now to get dimensions to Craig.

Ok
Pick up complete!
Thanks to Allen B's fine work we can attach the body soon enough.
Little frame adjustments, paint then install.

I think the newest wheel application plan will be to do it like they did early on.
Might be fun to see if people notice at car shows.

Mag Halibrand rear (Thank you Uncle Fran)
Mag FIA's front

At least it might be a topic of conversation.
As I dont want to paint Mag I'll just go with the typical oil treatment.

As we measured the tank Craig Coombe and I decided to add a drop rear and the beading like 3002.

Dropping the rear of tank, deeper, will add capacity!
Beading; strength a few baffles to keep the gas somewhat level in use. Also adding a drain plug, may make things easier for long term storage situations.

I like the idea of the miss matched wheels! I would love to be there, when one of the experts tells you that the wheels are wrong! Cheers, Dennis

Jeff - I admire what you're doing there with the wheels!

I wouldn't do it myself, but I'd like to think that if I had three cars, I would do the 'different wheels' look with one of them

Cheers!
Glen

Wheels look great. And will make for lively discussion amongst those with a discriminating eye.

And I cannot wait to see how you fit the body panels.

Jeff - Great progress on this repair!

Little update
Fits pretty good. Hope to have rear body clip installed by the end of next week.
Then with a little message of door frames it should be straight forward.

Just wondering how much a rear clip like that costs?

Jeff,

Will the answer be what it costs, or what you told your wife it costs?

A follow-up
Measured for the new fuel tank today, we have a match! Excited to get that under way.

We looked over the cowles arch and installed back panel to ensure correct fitment.
Looks good so far........

That welding is perfect!
