... and the older the Holley manual is, the higher the torque values for the bowl screws can be -- for the same model carb. I had one manual for my carb that said 40 to 50 inch/lbs. I think it cracked somewhere around the 50 mark. I can't be absolutely sure because I wasn't using a torque wrench for that particular "tweak."
