The rear end gear in your Kirkham is probably one of the same ratios available in the Fords back in the sixties (they ranged from 2.70:1 to 4.10:1). The engine & trans can be swapped out in an afternoon. A nice running 390 w/toploader can be had for cheap (relative to your investment). You can always swap back after you get your title. Good luck.
