Unhappy braking

Dennis, Hi, bet your suprised to here from me through this media. Well I'm still having a problem with my car pulling to the right when I brake. I changed the caliper on the left side and checked the brake ware and it was normal. I sent in a request to tech talk and got a response to check the offset. If you agree that the offset could be the problem which would cause my problem send me the alignment data to set the car up with. I'll take it to Goodyear they have a machine that will check the offset and set up the front end.
Other than that the car is work very well. The engine is running better since I've put on about 1500 miles on it. I've won a few trophies at local car shows also.
Anyway let me know what you think.

thanks

Mike

I don't have a cobra yet but I want one. I do however have a tubular frame race car that has four piston calipers and manual brakes that used to pull to the right. My problem was one of the calipers was not properly centered on the rotor. I used aftermarket knuckles that are not perfect from the left to right. It causes a hard mounted caliper to only brake on one side of the rotor, . . .therefore having less braking torque on that side of the vehicle. You might want to take a look at this. A little shim fixed the issue.

Hope this helps,

Neil

Just went through this myself with Wilwood 4 piston fixed calipers. If the caliper is not completely square, it will pull to one side. Get a dial indicator and some shims.
