There are lots of priorities, some like crumbling infrastructure conflict with deep spending cuts.
The war against terrorists is also a priority and conflicts with spending cuts as well.
Health care INSURANCE should be about 250 places down the list, or just cut out all but catastrophic coverage and get it off the list entirely.
At the top of the list IS the fact that we have already spent 12 trillion we didn't have and we have committed to spending over 100 TRILLION that we don't have and won't get. The 'dirty little secret' staring us all in the face is that we are fiscally bankrupt
now. And the something for nothing crowd makes us very near morally bankrupt too.
This is not obummers fault, but he is the dealer in charge now and is contributing to the ongoing addiction. The problem lays at the feet of politicians of all parties, buying votwes with giveaways to to whomever will take them in exchange for their vote.
We are broke now and maybe it is already too late to start digging out of this hole. And the longer we wait to start the harder it will be to do and the less likely we will SURVIVE!! And No one will come rescue us, they'll just pick our bones.

Imagine a man making $143,000.00 per year. He's doing OK. But what if he is past due on $126,000.00 in current bills and owes $1,060,000.00 in bills already contracted and need to be paid in future. And next year his income will go DOWN and his expenses will go UP. You might love him, you might pal around with him, but I doubt you'll be loaning any of your money.
