Kansas City. They used to kick our ass regularly in Football. Those Christian Brothers had those guys so tough they used 10 penny nails for toothpicks.

Remember the Jim Jones flavor of Cool Aid and what happened to the drinkers. I hope the current cool aid drinkers wise up soon.

Tea is refreshing and has no sugar to fool you..just a bunch of pissed of American patriots wanting an honest government.

Maybe some would happier about the "feared Teaparty" if they drank...green tea?

Lighten-up folks!

Bernie, not De La Salle but some of those Brothers were rough all right. In those days they figured the best way to get you to stop doing something was to beat it out of you. I was a stubborn lil' $hit and I got caned more times than I care to remember. I even lost a fistfight with one Brother O'Connor (the "dean of discipline" was his official title) at 12 years old when I decided I was too big to be caned anymore and started swinging. He was only too happy to give me a bare knuckle boxing lesson. Were it not for the fact that my family was well known and generally well liked, I probably would have gotten expelled.

One thing I like about the Tea Party is how loosely knit it is. They are in the early stages of a true movement which does have the established types looking over their shoulder.
The Republicans are looking to absorb them fearing if they don't it is going to hurt them in the '012 elections. I hope they can manage to stay true to their motivations and remain independent, with the middle finger pointed directly at DC.

Same La Salle I had in mind. I was thinking back to a state high school football playoff where a certain St. Louis team got their a$$ handed to them from one La Salle team from the KC area.

Buzz, wow, they didn't boot you.
I saw a couple of the "tough guys" in HS try and swing down on a teacher. One was a geography professor who happened to be a retired Marine Corps DI...guess who came back to class looking like WWF refugee.

The other recollection is another "tough guy" pulled back on the Phys. Ed. teacher who was a retired lineman from the Cleveland Browns. We could hear somebody getting bounced off the locker room lockers for the next ten minutes.

As mean as those guys were, and in spite of the fact that there were a couple of really nasty ones, I think their hearts were in the right place and they genuinely wanted us to do well. I'll never forget Bro O'Connor grinning and saying "Keep yer guard up, keep yer guard up" over and over as he slugged my gut and rung my bell with his fists. I thought I was a pretty tough kid, but the pounding I got that day made me realise I had a lot to learn about fighting.

You like dark politicians? I thought you were going to add your taste in women, but then I got confused.
