I agree with you. I have been on some of the reservations in Arizona and other places and they deserved much better. I know some of the tribe around here and they have a big Casino just South of Redding and the people complain about it all the time as it takes away from their darn bingo games. One of the managers of the casino has been a friend of mine for over 25 years and the casino has really improved their lifestyle. And they do help all the tribe out, not just the top people.

Hate to be "insensitive" but "we" does not include me. I was not there, and you, were not either. I say this purely as a conservative. All this kind of thinking does is lead to reverse discrimination, unwarranted guilt, and further destruction of affected people. "we" would not do this stuff today nbecause we have (hopefully) learned from our ancestor's mistakes. Now is the time to bury the axe and choose "enlightened" paths forward. It makes no dam sense to elevate one at the expense of another out of some stupid sense of guilt for something you & I did not actually
do.

No one is elevating them out of any sense of guilt. If the Govt. had know the oil was there do you think they would have given them that desert land? Besides, we are apologizing to the Japanese every day for dropping the bomb on them in World War 11. The Indians were here before our forefathers and they stole the land from them. WE didn't drop the bomb on Japan either as most of us wasn't around when it happened, but that doesn't stop the continual apologizing. I stick with my statement that the Indians deserve everything they get. WE still get blamed for slavery but how many of you had slaves?
