" What NASCAR fans can expect in 2012 "

Note the comments regarding the 2013 cars and yellow flags for debris on the track. No mention that Danica has a starting position for the Daytona 500 and 4 other races using another Team's points from last year, she is not entering this years Indy 500

Cliff notes:
Electronic fuel injection (EFI) that will officially be introduced on cars at Daytona.
The tandem draft will be modified for Daytona.
Danica.

And: Pemberton and Darby were adamant that the yellow flag doesn't fly unless debris is on the track.

Maybe.

But I have no interest in basketball, baseball, or soccer. Who watches guys run around in their shorts?

What else is interesting since Ford finished 1,2,3 at the 50th 24 Hours of Daytona?

Actually I prefer F1 racing. And last year was pretty good racing. More passing in the races last year than in the past 5 years all together.

I'm not a fan of Stick and Ball sports either.

I really enjoy motorsports, but NASCAR lost me when all the cars started to look the same.

These are a couple penalties that I remember that really got me going.

Illegal lug nuts.

Illegal u-bolts for the rear axle to spring.

My god, Smokey must be rolling over in his grave.

Daytona isn't a race, it's a crapshoot. And if you watched last Saturday nights race, The Bud Shootout. You would have seen one of most crash heavy races ever. No down force on the rear of the cars has made them, real touchy, very touchy! Gordon had the car to beat with three laps to go. Till he beat himself, into the wall.

If NASCAR does nothing by Sunday, they will not have a single straight car that finishes. In fact they may need to throw a red and send everyone to the garages for an hour. NASCAR may impose a no bump rule in the turns. Or maybe give them their inch back on the rear spoilers. Saturdays race was a wreck fest. However the fans liked it by polling numbers. Surely wasn't a race to me.

Montoya just ran into the jet drier. Daytona track is on fire right now.

What a race, over 200mph, and it took two days to complete, which is the way I like it, more beer for me to drink while I watch. FORD WINS FORD WINS FORD WINS. Now on to Phoenix, where I will be, with more beer.

That was one of the more interesting 500s in quite a while. I am happy that Kensseth won but the Montoya wreck was the weirdest thing I have seen in a long time.

It was the 36 Hours of Daytona?

I enjoyed watching every race at Daytona. The new rule package is working.

They said the transmission broke and sent him into the jet dryer?

I saw very little racing last night. Typical restrictor plate track. Now the season can begin. I'm surprised more cars did not wreck out. Probably due to the fact they went round and round, not daring to come to close to each other, causing more incidents. Daytona and Talladega are a spectacle not a race. Kensseth did have a good car last night.

Oh, Junior finished second!

I think that Kensseth, Biffle, and Jr.had the only cars on the track that weren't beat to pieces. I believe Jr. had a doughnut on the right side door but it was just a light one and Kensseth and Biffle had no marks at all on their cars. NASCAR is playing to the crowds as they go to see the wrecks as much as the race.
