Gun Control

Another day and another mass shooting in the USA.

Seriously, just when are you going to do something about gun control? The rest of the world just looks on and wonders just how dumb can such a clever country be.

In Australia, we had at the time the worst lone gunman mass shooting in history, so we collected 700000 guns for which there was no real justification for them being out in public. I handed in a gun (was on the land at the time) that really wasnt required (a SKS).

Since then, in Australia, the risk of dying by someone with a gun has halved.

Yeah, he's an Aussie, but he makes a lot more sense than the pro-gun, 2nd Amendment babble we hear from way too many people.

We will NEVER turn in our guns.

When Grandad was asked why he carried a gun he replied
"because a cop is to heavy"

Great comeback and brilliant logic there. Thats the spirit (and one of the reasons why you will prob have another mass shooting next week)

I wonder if one of your kids or family were killed by some lunatic with a gun you would feel any differently.

Yes, I would feel different. I would want even more guns to protect myself and what's left of my family.

Almost all of these mass shootings are happening in the states that have the strictest gun control laws. Also, the ones pulling the triggers are almost always liberal in their beliefs.

Unless you have customs or border control between states that have tougher gun laws and those that don't, this is a ridiculous argument.

There still are as many murders they just use hammers, knives, or what ever they can get there hands on. Here in this country hammers and blunt objects are still the number one weapon used in homicides, maybe they should ban hammers and candle sticks.

PS: If you think there are a lot of casualties now, try taking or guns away the death toll would be in the millions.

joyridin' 12-02-2015 06:11 PM

700,000? There were approximately 200,000 guns sold in the USA on Black Friday alone!

kanuck 12-02-2015 06:16 PM

There are over 300 million guns in this country, that's more than the total population of this whole country.

Dean

I would have a Kirkham or even a 4000 series for what I have invested, oh well we all make our own choices.

What an idiot that guy is. What 1st world country on that list of murder\capita was higher than USA? None. Why? because ever ynation with a higher per capita murder rate is a third world country. But well done on beating all of those guys. Awesome work.....

Those 3 guys today really could have killed 14 people and wounded 20+ more with a candle stick....

There will always be murders, there will always be murderers. But allowing people with that intent access to the tools to do so so easily means that when they do lose it, more victims result.

kanuck 12-02-2015 06:24 PM

I am sad to see you don't get it, it is very simple the cities that have the highest murder rates are the ones with the strictest control. Simple as that.
