Mike,

I guess a Corvette is out of the question then. However since they advertise that you can order them with any option, I wonder about a Ford engine and Cobra badges.

Funny you should bring that up, I have always hated Ford Hot Rods that have chebby motors in them. It would be priceless to take a 60's camaro or something, put a BB Ford in it, go to a car show and pop the hood. The look on everyones face would be priceless!

Tru,

Read and answered. Much appreciated.

Mike,

You should have seen the look on the Chevy guys faces two years ago at a local car show when a guy opened the hood of his 67 Camero and it had a 426 Hemi in it. Sounded great too.

Pretty close. I talked to the guy and he said he was just tired of seeing 350 Chevys in everything and he liked the MOPARs, so he got the Hemi and put it in. He told me he also had a Hemi Dodge Dart at home that was factory original.

Sick!!! Sick!!! You boys are sick.

The thought of a cheby in a Ford. You should both have your mouth washed with soap.

Next thing the two of you will be wanting women to vote... Oh Poop!

Mike, you do know that you are expected to post progress of the frame. We want the full Monty! Pictures!

Heck, now I do not know what to go to this year. I wanted to go to Steve's meet in PA, see Mike. Then go to the London thing. But now, there is a Cleveland thing and a London thing. So I am inclined to do the first thing, but and not sure of the second thing.

Got to love this thread. Kristen, so tell me darling, do I see you in London or Clevelend????

Wait, I thought the Fling was in Cleveland instead of London.

I will post pics of the frame, I just have to get a Digital Camera from my other "Shop" teacher (it was only half a year, then I got switched to keyboarding ). Im thinking of a mustang II front suspension with a Flaming river Rack, and possibly an IRS out of a SVT Stang, or maybe one of the factory five units. Maybe a strengthed 8.8 with 31 spline axles. Decisions, decisions. The next step is finding the 4" main tubes, I think that will be a pain in the arse finding them around here (rural PA.)

Mike,

I have the 8.8 unit in mine with 31 spline axels and a built Eaton posi unit. It is great but will scoot the left rear tire on a very slow tight turn like in my driveway or at an intersection. But nothing like a solid locker. If you are going to drive it and not just race, stay away from the solid lockers. Pictures please as Tru asked. Close ups as we want to inspect your welds. Within 1" should do.

Dear tru, I don't know where to go. I was thinking London, per the 'regular' dvsf, then it 'officially' got moved to Cleveland, now a different group is wanting to keep a version in London. Hmmm. Don't know any of the people involved, so don't know where to go. I'll go where my buddies go. (you, earl, mike, ron , etc.) I read for quite a bit last night all the little jabs going on regarding the different groups' and their desire to have it in their location. hmmm. Childish and petty to act like they do! Kind of puts a bad taste on it, and not sure if it's worth going ANYWHERE if it's gonna be a pi$$in' contest between lil boys...... I had WW3 upstairs last night; don't need to drive 18 hours to watch another one.....
how far apart are your 2 boys??

Ron. forget the nonsense of 'dropping' out of the cc. you of all people know that most of the people on this site don't have a cobra. (well, I don't know that as fact, but you know what I mean) Leave a site if you don't like the atmosphere, but not because you don't have the car! You still love the idea of the cobra, just not the silly regulations your weird republic out there has imposed on you.

Tru & Kristen,

I too have been reading all of the posts about the Spring Fling and I don't think I want anything to do with any of that now. I must be a complete moron, because after going back and searching out so many posts that I can't even remember them, I still am not exatly sure just what brought on all the negativity. I know that everyone is never going to agree on everything, but for something that is supposed to by just a get together for fun, this has turned to personal for me. Just hope that things calm down and whoever does go can have a great time and enjoy themsleves with no problems.

Talking

Earl,

Remember the bank tellers just work there. I keep telling myself that whenever I have to go deal with any DMV out here. Then I have visions of a mushroom cloud rising above the place.

Look what I got the other day! A poster from my track day at TMS last October. Fun! Top left pic is coming out of the pit. Top right is crossing the start/finish. Bottom left and right is with Gary, on the inside part of the track. Thought it turned out well, and now it'll go in the garage!

Thumbs up

Kristen,

That is really neat. And it will make a great garage wall poster. Just make sure to cover it with something so the exhaust gas can't ruin it over a period of time. I had that happen to a poster I had and now I enther cover them with glass or a plastic that I can wipe off and it keeps all the gasses from touching the pictures.

Mike,

Good to see that you are thinking ahead. If there is any way that I could possibly help you, just e-mail me and let me know. Oh, short of asking for the $85K it will cost you for the car. Kristen can handle that side of it much better than I can.
