Clay, absolutely.

uncltodd 11-02-2004 01:36 AM

Dave- how is Gunrack doing? I'm sure you've seen her since I have.

She's been at KC Plano since August, on her third tuneup/dyno run.

No, I'm not a happy KeithCraft Motorsports Plano customer.

For $11,000 at least Rob could respond to an email.

Edley, stop rubbing it in that we have to worry about winter and you dont!

UT, have you seen her since she left?

McCobra 11-02-2004 06:44 AM

Edley,
Although inadvertent, I'm sure, I think the Michelin Man made an appearance on Mr. Snowman...

Turk 11-02-2004 08:02 AM

Edley,
Much better. Much safer too!

hey Uncle Todd
To give you an update of your car ( gun rack) we gave the car back to Robert with Victory over a month ago. I did see it at the car show at Unique on Oct 16, 2004. I did do some work last week on it for a running rich problem that was fixed that day. You may want to contact Robert before you blame Keith Craft Motorsports for having your car.

Rob

PS sorry but I did not get your e-mail, Please call me if you need to talk to me 972-578-3550

Dave Rodak 11-02-2004 09:26 AM

UT,

Sorry to hear about your continuing troubles. I live in Chicagoland so I can only share what I've heard second & third hand about your car. From the TCC guys I've talked too, your car has been in Boudy's hands for weeks and has been seen at one car show and maybe more in that time. I understand there is a difference of opinion regarding the casue of your engine & suspension failures and I’m in no position to offer an opinion on those situations. However, I can tell you that I’ve received nothing but the best service from Rob and the whole crew at KCM. I’ve never tried emailing them but I’ve picked up the phone on a Sunday afternoon and interrupted Rob’s NASCAR watching or dinner to get my pesky questions answered. I’ve talked to Keith at all hours of the night about all manner of subjects and mostly NOT about cars. Keith has been to my home, I’ve met Keith’s brother’s family and have shared many laughs with Keith’s wife. My brother went out socializing with the KCM guys for a wild night and Rob will be visiting at my home in a couple of weeks so I suppose these things indicate the type of relationship we have. My point is this: There obviously is a communication breakdown somewhere and for your sake I hope it gets resolved quickly.

My car will be travelling to Plano for some winter upgrades soon and I’m already missing it. These cars (and the people) are too much fun to be without for any period of time or for any reason. I sincerely hope you get your fun quota filled soon.

Dave

AHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ !

I should vote for someone. ( this should kill this thread )

Turk 11-02-2004 09:44 AM

KEITH FOR PRESIDENT!!!

uncltodd 11-02-2004 10:18 AM

Rob, my bad.

It appears that I am caught in the middle of a personality conflict and only hearing (rarely!) one side. It's just that UT is paying the bills, here.

If it's any consolation, Boudy is currently freezing his man marbles off on a mountaintop in Idaho, and will be for several weeks.

Keep in mind I had the little blue car for two whole days back in August, and have literally not seen it since.

Don't tell my banker or my insurance agent.

BTW, I STILL want to know why my left rear wheel fell off (just before I got back on the highway) in front of a thousand college students headed for lunch... that's where the battle damage on the front cowl and LR fender came from.

In keeping with the tone of the original thread...

Where does your lap go when you stand up?

UT

kcm3 11-02-2004 04:07 PM

Uncle Todd,
Thank you for your responce and I want you to know that we at KCM have done everything to get your car back to you. I thought that they had already given your car back. On the issue of the wheel, we do not take off your wheels at any time during the install or when the vehicle is aligned, I feel that you we're mis-informed about the wheel condition. To explain how the wheel is held on a Backdraft, it uses a BMW rear axle assy and it has lug bolts instead of lug nuts and studs. When Backdraft builds the cars they put in a screw in stud into the hub and then a lug nut to hold the wheel on. I feel that the stud in the hub came loose and that is why the lug nut and stud was missing. We replaced all the studs and lug nuts on the left rear when we had it. It will be wise to keep a eye on the lugs and retighten them every 500 miles.
If you ever need to know anything about the car or what work was done always call the source and don't listen to 2nd hand talk. We at KCM have nothing to hide and we take great pride in what we do.

Thanks
Rob

Rob- thank you for your reply, it explains a lot except...

Where does your lap go when you stand up?

UT

Edley Rondinone 11-02-2004 07:05 PM

Where does your lap go when you stand up? I know all the crumbs fall to the floor, where I have to battle the dogs for those same crumbs...the dogs usually win!

hey,littlecobra 11-02-2004 07:09 PM

your "lap" goes to that big glob of gut cinched behind your belt!!
:JEKYLHYDE

TerrysSPF 11-02-2004 07:31 PM

Hey Dave!!!!! Mind if I send my heads in to KC by tossing them in the trunk of your car? (Ha!!)

Back on subject (at least the latest one....) I keep standing up and can't seem to figure out what happens to my lap. It's just one big "bulge" at all times, whether I'm sitting or standing. My wife is watching me and wondering what I'm doing. I told her to mind her own business......this is a "cobra thing".:p

kcm3 11-02-2004 07:40 PM

The last time I looked was in the early 80 for my lap. My wife said it disappears when you stand up and it is also know as the " dicky do" disease

thanks rob

MidOHasp 11-02-2004 09:33 PM

Who asked that question first? Gallagher?

BMK 11-02-2004 09:56 PM
