Remember, Ron, it's all about supporting the economy. I am supporting KC's economy (well, really Drew B., then Rob, then Michael and Mark, then the sweeper boy, etc......)
I am soooo glad to have the car back! This office is right next to the garage, and I can just sorta smell him! It's such a great smell... sorta like when my hubby wears that cologne I bought for him a zillion years ago....

It looks kinda chilly out there this morning. I hope it warms up a bit, cuz I'm gonna give him a proper washing, and polishing. I've waited too long to order the new tires for Austin. Time just sneaks up on you, doesn't it? I should have them by the next track event. I guess I'll call up and order a quiklift, too. Had to recall Sears and order a catalog, again. Maybe this time I'll get it!
I talked to my bubba in Seattle, and he's thinking of going to a June event with me. That might make it all work. 18+ hours in the truck pulling trailer by myself sounds like more work than fun. I don't know. Might not decide about June until June! I'm really wanting hubby to buy me a truck. We don't really NEED another truck, but I just want one! He says to take 'my' money and go buy one, if I want one. I don't want to spend 'my' money on a truck! I want him to! His truck is a '96, and the old, whupped out farm truck is a '92. It isn't 'broke' enough to get rid of it, and he just can't see having a new truck. Supposedly our dealer friend was looking for a truck for him to trade my old Sequoia. Haven't heard how that's going. Yesterday hubby was driving around in the Sequoia, and now it's parked with the old land cruiser under the porte---- whatever that french word is for carport. p o r t e c h a c h e. I'm sure that isn't it...... covered porch/drive connected to the house..... rambling as usual.....

Spent the day in bed, may do the same today. Age is not a good thing.

Mike, maybe you should become a graphic artist.

Ron, hope you are doing better than me. I feel yuck!

Well, it is 12 out side. I might have to wear a coat. Got a few inches of snow...again.

oh, tru! sorry you're ill. What's wrong? Upper respiratory? Flu? Hope it doesn't get you down all week like it did my hubby a couple of weeks ago. Drink lots of orange juice. (unless you're puking)

If you take 'tamaflu' within 24+ hours of fever, you'll have a much less severe case.
Maybe you'll like some oatmeal or cream of wheat?

Kristen,

You do have problems trying to decide what to do. Decisions, decisions. Should I buy a new truck or a jet plane.

By the way, Pepe will run just as well with some dirt on him. Ask my car. I go over it maybe twice a year with the wet paint. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on if I stay at it or stop and have a Diet Pepsi or so. As for supporting the economy, send ME money. I will spend it and that will support the economy.

Sorry to hear they you are not feeling well. We both spent much of yesterday in bed as I just got to hot out in that sun and it really messed me up. My doctor told me that I had another minor heat stroke. Now I have to take it easy for four or five days. But it is overcast today and is supposed to rain tomorrw. Temperature is way down in the 50s now.

Ron. don't drink diet Pepsi, drink water! will help keep your heat stroke from starting. Sorry you guys are down. Get better soon!

Wish it was you (no offense to Don) because my bubba is thinking of coming, and he could 'fly' with you.....

I do drink water when I am out working in the sun. Almost by the gallon. But I spent a week in the hospital years ago with a severe heat stroke and my doctor tells me that each one makes it easier to have another. Not being a doctor, I have to take his word for it and it sure seems to be so. My nerves are so bad I don't notice that I am starting to lose it until any times I am actually having to lay on the ground to keep from falling. I tell you OLD AGE is NOT the GOLDEN years. I think I passed mine about 45 years ago. The only way I know if all of my parts are working is if they are hurting.

Lousy day here, been rainin all day, but I'm only complainin a wee little bit cause it still ain't no where as bad as the poor folks in CA. are havin to deal with. Thinkin about venturing outside here shortly and try and do sumpthin, even if it ain't right!!!!!!!!!

cold and cloudy. not quite raining..... yuck. too cold to wash the car, but I can start detailing the engine, even in the garage. oh, and maybe start on relettering the tires.....

NO, NO, NO! The Ancient was a form of Reverance among many older Civilizations. It denoted Wisdom, and Intelligence, mostly because the person had lived that long. In my case the first two don't appply, but the third one definately does. I will be considering my 3rd body transfer if I can get one of the coveted 250 numbers in this state next year.

Aloha all,

Thought I'd see where this thread has been headed lately and
figured I'd chime in. Here the weather, as usual, has been pretty
good. Of course it shoulbe, it is Hawaii. My problem is that I can't
drive the Cobra for a couple of more months, maybe less, if all continues to
go well. I finally bit the bullet 3 weeks ago and got myself a 2005 model
titanium, cobalt, chrome left knee joint. At this point I too will say that
getting older sucks but it does beat the alternative. Been stuck in the house
except to go to pt twice a week. What fun! Looking forward to flying and
going through the check points with my cards explaining the metal and the
radiation from my cancer treatment. So far I think I beat that one too.
On the good side, this should complete the "let's rebuild Flip project"
so I will be good to go again after this knee heals up. Gee, if I'd knowed
I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself!

Think I've heard that one before.

Cheer up all - spring is getting closer!
