Sitting here at the Beachside Precinct Station, bored, tired and I was hungry till I just scarfed down that pizza......... Bikers are in town full force, I got writers cramp from all the tickets I wrote today and i could have written 3 times more......Just got the eye from the Lt., he said I needed to "write" more.........I kindly reminded him that I was retired and doing this part time, and "I DON'T WRITE CHICKEN S _ _ T TICKETS". If he wants more tickets find a rookie to talk too!!!!!!!!! All the tickets I wrote today were singles for two or more violations....they know they diserved them in other words!!!!! Tomorrows the wifeys birthday and again I have to work...good thing she understands, BD always comes during Bike Week, What a pain.....in 25 years of marriage I think we have celebrated her BD 1 or 2 times on the actual day.....oh well, enough rambling...these 15 to 17 hour days are a "Royal Pain"...... all the way to the bank!

Yes, I know, Mike, up close and personal of the engine! Funny, tho', I have no pics of my engine..... In fact, when I first got the car, I mailed photos to my brother in Seattle. He loved all the outside shots, but said, 'hey, where's one of the engine?' Guess being a girl and all I hadn't even thought of the engine! Just the pretty outside... anyway, never took any of the engine. Maybe tomorrow, if I'm able to finish tidying it up from the start I got this morning before the meet.
Oh, yes. a couple of photos in the "dallas march meet at Champs" or something like that, and they are also in my gallery, as I haven't taken the time to learn how to post to threads. hmmm. guess I could try here.... nah. gotta go watch 'princess diaries 2' with little cobra girl. We are 'home alone'....
seeya!

Earl,

Sounds as if you had an interesting day. Writing tickets. You are just going to have to take off one of these years and celebrate the birthday in another place where they can't get hold of you.

Tru,

The the 69 Torino Cobra is in the garage as I have no intentions of selling it. I need one fast car at least. The other one was there the last time I looked. Tempersture was 78 here yesterday and everyone but me was out mowing.I was busy trying to get paperwork organized. Have to take my older Pom to the vet in the morning, call the place about the home equity loan I applied for, and do a dozen other things if my nerves will hold out. Weather is supposed to be in the upper 70s and low 80s this week.

Kristen,

That is a great picture of the motor. Now where is the rest of the car? I am sure that he never brought just the motor.

Ron

Talking

Wow Mike,

Prepare for the worst. I never thought I would hear you call KRISTEN crazy. If you post count suddenly drops by 500 or so don't be surprised.

By the way, according to a Govt. study Texans aren't crazy. They are just different in un-explainable ways.

Very nice to see one that hasn't been so over-restored it sort of loses something.
And I am not a whiner, but if you don't post more pictures I will hold my breath untilI turn blue.

Tru,

Weather report::: High of 78 yesterday. Already 60 at 7:30AM this morning on the way to a reported high of 84 this afternoon. A light breeze blowing. Lawns begging to be mowed. But first I have to watch the Busch race from Mexico.
Then out comes the lawn mowers, my new Calif. legal weed whacker, and then I will sit and wait for someone to come along that will use them.

So, ar you saying you are sitting back with a cold one to watch the race and damn the grass cutting with weed wacking????

Ohhh, I see how it is... slacker eh.
I'd do the same if I had an insterest in car racing.

Weather sound nice, just waiting for it to get better here.

Kristen, what does a timex make you think of?

Cool

Your weather will be really nice around the first of April and ours will get really nasty. It always happens that way when they move the darn car show up to the first week of April. One year we had some snow during the show. A couple of years ago they had to haul people to the medical tent because of the 116 degree temperatures. Just never know around here what it is going to be like. I plan to go up and take some pictures as usual and droll over the super cars inside. Some of those cars they won't even alllow the tires to touch the floor, and they wheel them in with tire covers over them so they won't get any dirt on the tires. The owners have detail people that just spend the day making sure every spot of dust is immediately wiped away. Must really be a lot of fun to own carslike that.

Kristen,

Boy does your bunch have some beautiful cars. I love that GT-40. And the Coupe and the Original, and yours, and, and, and, on and on. Mike needs to make a trip down there to see those cars.

He has a 'standing invitation'. Fred's son, Josh is waaaayy into cars, like Mike, and they would have a great time together. My son, Peter, who is standing next to Josh in a photo at January's meet, isn't into them that much.... Josh wants to build his own gt40 someday. He's 14, like my son.....
If I had a 40, it would be in the gulf colors.... the coupe, in that princess blue, kinda faded blue color.... the 427? in Guardsman blue with Wimbledon white stripe!!

The Gulf colors would be great. However to save all that work and painting to get it just right, why don't you just buy the original?

Kinda surprising to hear that your son Peter isn't into cars that much. I would have thought he would be driving you nuts to drive Pepe. Oh, well, maybe he will get into something sane like experimental airplanes.
