Yes I saw that
I emailed them to see if I could get a greater distance but have not heard from them yet.
In fact I had to send myself an email to see if it was working.
It started hailing here a while ago pretty good. Not quiet the size of golf balls but enought to get my attention. The yard looked like it was covered in snow.
Semothing funny as hell. That dog barked at the sky for a few seconds and got nailed right in the head. He took off running like a bat outta hell toward the house. I think he made it though, dang the luck.
That was so funny to see that stupid dog barking at the sky! I am laughing so hard right now I can't type.
BAMMMMMM........... right in the head!

Steve,
Maybe next time if you really concentrate you can have a big rock or brick fall with the hail and hit that dog. When you find out what the range of that Bark Unit is please let me know. This dog here quit yesteray when I hit him with a small rock. Never have been able to hit him before bit got him in the side this time.

Emblem Announcement
Official Announcement:
The government today announced that it is changing its
emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more
accurately reflects the government's political stance.
A condom allows for inflation, halts production,
destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of
pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually
being screwed.
Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that

Ron,
After I discovered this product I started calling :Lowe's,Home Depot,PetSmart,etc.... NO LUCK.
I could only get it by internet or mail order/phone.
It has worked perfectly for 2 years now.Has withstood all kinds of weather.
Steve, speaking of weather,it is looking like a great day to be outside barking.
Tuesday: A few clouds this morning, but generally sunny. High 73F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
How's the puppy this morning ???
2 of those bark free's for that size area sure sounds right.

Interestingly enough all is quiet over there this morning,
HUMMMMMMM...
Po doggie may gotte widdle headach dis monin
I have emailed these folks at Lentek three times and have not heard from them. I will call them today and ask.
I'll let you know. I have found that some cities have bans on these, so be carefull. It seems the spca is trying to get them outlawed.
I cannot find them locally. I also want to be sure to get the ones that do not affect birds or squirrels. This unit is for dogs only, supposedly. I found one at the hardware store that works on rodents, mosquitoes and flies but it was safe for dogs and cats.

No shortage of birds, cottontail rabbits or squirrels around here.If you need any squirrels I would be more than happy to bag a few for you.
Went to check the oil in my WRX STi two weeks ago.As I reached for the dipstick I noticed some broken shells from acorns on top of the a/c compressor. It is like a square dish on top.
Looks like the squirrel come in thru the hood scoop and found a nice place to chow down on top of the compressor.
Well it wasn't totally to his liking. The 12v lead runs across the top.It must have been in his way.He ATE 3 inches of the pigtail to get it out of the way !
Spliced in some new wire.
If you like squirrel let me know.

Hey Fred
Want to hear something funny
Our cadillac dealer was telling us they had a service call on an STS once. Seems the lady bought the car and it got delivered two weeks to early so she accepted the car before she was to go over seas for two weeks. She drove the car home and put it in her garage.
When she got home the car would not start. It would slowly turn over but would never fire. The dealer had the car towed to the dealership and for two days could not figure out the problem. They decided to do an interior probe of the engine, so they took off the top of the engine.
What they found was five pounds of dog food. It seems the lady had a very small mouse that was storeing his winter stock in her intake system. The dealer had to go through the upper part of the engine to clean out the dog food.
It seems the mouse was getting in through a hole he had chewed in the breather tube from the filter canister to the engine and had been busy for two weeks. The dog food was small enough and the mouse was limber enough to get by the map sensor and into the intake.
The car had @ 60 miles on it and cost over fifty grand!
I think I would get me a mouse trap.

BTW
We had plenty of squirrels at our other house and liked to watch them play outside. We only have one or two hear. They will multiply fast enough. Thanks for the offer though.
I have never eaten squirrel that I know of. Not really interested in that. I don't think.

squirrels are a pain. They are too hard to skin, you have to get like four to feed a single person ( if they are not hungry ) and if you are bad shot, all you get is a grease spot. I don't want to work that hard for my food.
SO, it is official, Clarkston ( the town I live just north of ) got the most snow over the weekend at 16.7". I would say we got every bit of that.
My new plate is "NV THIS" I tried for 4RE KLR, but it was taken.
For those of you with mice problems, keep trapping and see if you can get poison wire. Fibre optic cable has a run of poison in the cable so rodents die if they eat the harness.
Well, I think I'll sit back.

Ultra sonic transducer - sends a signal just above the human hearing range. Like a dog whistle. They are used for thinks like tapeless measuring devices and back-up distance indicators.
The bark free thing probably gives a burst in the ultra sonic band for a short period. It would be really nasty if it was on all the time, drive the dog nuts.
Steve, let us know what you end up with.

wow talk about a bunch of stupid people.
I called the 888 # on the website and somehow got into a phone loop. There was no place to leave a message.
I called Sharper Image, because they are the largest single customer these people have (Lentek). They have the same phone numbers that are no good. I asked the guy how they placed orders with with company. He said they used to email the orders but that has not worked for months so they have resorted to faxing orders to them.
I called the 888-353-6835 (888-3-Lentek) 3 and got some lady in Pakastan that could not speak very good english. I did get out of her that she was with "leantack" "she thinks" and told me they have no corporate phone number. Said I should look up Kooltron.com ( it took ten minuets to figure that one out) on the web and email them.
I looked up Kooltron.com and the phone number for them is no good either. They do have the super bark free advertised on their web site so I am assuming Kooltron bought out Lentek (?)
I asked the lady from Pakastan if she knew what the super bark free was and she said "what, I didn't bark at you"
Kooltron has the product priced at $79.95, $30.00 more than Lentek, at $ 49.95. Still niether one can tell me if it will cover the didstance I need it to cover.
The saga continues.

Tru,
I once shot a squirrel with a 30-30 and all I had left was the tail. But I didn't have to skin him. I have ate them and never thought they were all that good. I prefer steak or Prime Rib.
Steve,
You may be ahead to buy a frequency generator that covers a very wide and high range, build an amp., and get an antenna. That way you could control the distance via the amp and change the frequency until you found the best one. And please stop BARKING at the hired help.

Can you believe that clown.
I have heard of out sourcing but this is ridiculous.
Bear with me I have contacted another place that we do business with. I have an account with a company that maunfactures a similar product that cover 300 feet radius. The prices are much better as well. It is a very similar product as the Lentek model but is has a wider range and these people actually answer their phone. Imagine that, a business that answers their phone. What is next sliced bread.
If we can get them I will put them on my website for everone to get one. Discounts for you guys of course. I will dropship them directly to you.
I'll let you know

dogman..I mean Steve,
Your quest for peace and quiet reminded me of a quote.
Not sure how much if any of it applies, but you reminded me of it.
" So for those who dream dreams :
it is more important to have them than to attain them.
The ultimate happiness is not in the accomplishment , but in
the seeking." - William Albert Robinson ,Return To The Sea 1972
