We did the Yellow rose show here in Fort Worth a few years ago. We spent all day cooped up in the building. I do not want to say it was a bad show. It was a good show. There were about 15 -20 CC members in the show. I just did not enjoy the show. I didn't like the way some of the trophies were handed out to the sponsering group, in different classes. Yes I won a trophy, but I felt like some of our fellow CC members got ripped off.

I don't want to start an aurguement. It is a good show, just not for me. Gary went through a lot of trouble to put it together for us all. The reason I said this, was that is the show we decided to never do another indoor show. They are a pain in the behind.

I like the parking lot shows. AER is the best one all year for us Dallas guys. There are always some stiff competition there as the prizes are great. It is well put on and no favoritism. Your car wins based on votes, not on who you are. I really miss the AER show every year. It is nice to see all the crew relaxed and enjoying themselves at a show. That is always a fun day.

Kristen:
We should get everyone from all over to come to the AER show next year, kinda like the Austin get together. That would make that the best event of the year.

Someone some loves that PINK THING, good for them. That is what makes this cobra thing so good, we can all do what we want to do with our cars.

I went to a Vette show one time. I don't know why, I hate Vettes. But the nicest car in the building did not win anything because the stickers were wrong and the paint markings under the hood were not the right shade of blue. How could anyone enjoy a car if they had to worry that the car was EXACTLY like it was FORTY YEARS AGO, geeze who cares!

Go out and buy a cobra kit and paint poka dots on it if you want. One of our neatest members in our loacl CC group has a Chevy engine in his Cobra. Big Deal. This is about the people not the cars anyway.

Of course I don't know anyone who owns a poka dotted Cobra. Not that you would, but you could, I guess.

Steve,

There are several sites that you can go to and get animated pictures. Animation factory.com is just one that I can remember off the top of my head. I think you have to resize them to around 50 X 50 to use as avatars. Many sites have a big selection of free ones and others you have to join. Just do a search for animation sites. Then spend a week deciding which one you like.

Hey Steve, Ron is right....I found the one I am using from another members avatar.....I asked him if I could use it, and then changed the wording underneath to the Hot Sand, figuring it appropriate to Daytona Beach.

For years my husband denied he was an aggresive driver. That changed one day when we were out for a drive with our three-year old son, Matthew.

Seeing a teaching opportunity, I asked Matthew about traffic lights.

"What does a red light mean?" I asked.

"Stop."

"Good. How about green?"

"Go."

"And yellow?" I conintued.

In his best deep-voice impression of Daddy, Matthew bellowed.... "Hang on!"

Question

Earl,

Where did you get the signature plane flying and leaving the welcome sign from? I haven't seen that on any of the sites I browse.

Well, the guy with the pink cobra swares it is red, but that is a far cry from red.

Yes, we can talk about trophies, I threw all mine out, they were old and dusty anf didn't mean anything to me. I guess I am gettin' like Ron, only for the fun.

Speaking of Ron, I just mowed for the first time this year. Yikes, you can cover a lot of ground with a 5' deck.

So, here it is, 74 out and sunning, I have to go out and fire up the snake.

Unhappy

Tru,

Ok, now you can have your fun. It is pouring here and has been for the past two days and nights. Temperatures are nice, but just a lot of rain. The lake has came up to just 11 feet from the top and it was down to 118 feet below the top. But that last 11 feet is a lot of water as it spreads all up through the canyons. I think this lake has a shore line of around 300 miles all told. I like that 5' deck of yours. Sure beats my 21" swaths.
Go drive that Cobra before the next snow comes, tomorrow.

Ron

The Correct Way to Call the Police

George Phillips of Meridian Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife
told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed which she could
see from the bedroom window.

George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there
were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and he said
no. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply
lock his door and an officer would be along when available.

George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.

"Hello I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in
my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now cause I've just
shot them all". Then he hung up.

Within five minutes! three police cars, an Armed Response unit and an
ambulance showed up at the Phillipsresidence. Of course, the police
caught the burglars red handed.

One of the Policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd shot
them!"

George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

Mike. Can you not do it the old fashioned way??? Take the memory stick to walmart, have them make real photos, 4x6, and a cd, and MAIL it to Ron??? I do that all the time....
emailing a bunch of photos sounds like a drag.... or can you load them to a photo collection site, like shutterfly, and have Ron access them there???

I think I'll change my avatar. to a trophy. got a big one sitting right next to me!!!

yup, just after the moody boy quits begging me for the computer.
