Yes siree. Gen-u-wine Mopar. Having the stinking huge a833 transmission behind it makes for a really short driveshaft though. And I didn't want to use a puny (by comparison) T-10 or Richmond 5 speed so there you go.

Soon as the 911 is sold either Don Gould or Hughes will be building me a new one. This one is only 406 horse with cast 9:1 pistons and a crappy Carter AFB.

Not that you really wanted to know all that!

in fact just the opposite.

It is interesting to me the different engines people put in these cars. When I built mine I built it for me not everyone else. I really didn't care if anyone else liked it but me.

I think it is neat that you did what you wanted.

Heck DV put a viper engine in his, Right

Well, I always loved the looks of the Cobra and the legend. I also wanted a car that had Viper quickness and my cousin just happened to be sponsored by Mopar at the time. Since I have no loyalties to Ford (actually I had never owned anything other than a Mopar until the Cobra) and since Chucky had some go fast goodies for cheap it was perfect. $1300 including a truck block with 60,000 km on it plus the cost of a new Carter for emmisions here in California only to find out it is not needed. But I had already given the Holley to my brother in law for his 327 Impala.

If it keeps bleeding after 20-30 minutes....or if you see bone or muscle.

Ran a utility knife into my thumb between the joints and I couldn't keep the wound closed to stop the bleeding. Found a nice napkin and duct tape and it quit bleeding after about 10 minutes. Stupid shipping containers. Stupid me, actually. The blade broke and the knife swung right up into my thumb. Shouldn't have had my other hand that close. Luckily it went straight into the bone instead of slicing but the blade still left about an inch gash that wouldn't close back up. Missed any tendons too. Lucky stupid me!

I did soemthing similar to that with a utility knife years ago. It went in at my palm and came out on the back side of my hand. I missed everything but it still took seven stitches. Three on one side four on the other.

Ouch.

You know the sweet wifey brought me a Gin and tonic and maybe you should get one.

I have been fighting these merchant account clowns all week and I am sick of being lied to. You name it, I have heard it this week.

Oops the drink is kicking in a bit. I see flowers, na just kidding.

I was still at work when that happened. Had to finish the modification on the containers so they would survive the airlines. This is the second time they have gotten broken. Now I just need a shower and sleep.

Get the stitches and then tell us how much blood and guts you dropped.

I agree with the rest. From what it sounds like you would be better off to go to the hospital and have a doctor look at it. Even if you don't have to have stitches, they can give you a shot to stop any infection. That was my problem a few years ago. Cut was small and bled a lot but finally quit so I never went to my doctor. Two days later the hand started swelling and it cost me 4 times as much as it should have to have gone in and had it cleaned and done right just to get the infection out. Also if you ever slice your hand and arm open on a broken neon light go immediately to the doctor.

Isn't it interesting we were just talking about California earthquakes "Yesterday". Maybe we need to talk about the marshmellow man on ghostbusters. strange huh.

I don't know anyone personally who lives in Cresent City, but most of my friends that haven't moved to other states still go over there for their vacations as they like to fish. And they have a big car show over in that area every year. Lots of nice cars from Oregon.

Looking at the map, I figure it will happen this way. Everything West of the mountain range will break off and sink. That will leave the mountains as the coast line. Since they are heavy, they will soon break off and then I will be close to having beach front propety. We just have one major fault here and it is about 15 miles from me. I think they have a minor quake about 2 times a day from it and one of 3 or better about once a year. But once all the dead weight West of here is gone, it should relieve any pressure on that fault. Now if we can just convince the two volcanoes to stay quiet, I should be in good shape.

It was amazing to me just how low the area west of the mountains really is. It seems to be almost flat.

So what will happen (I am guessing) is it just fill up with water and the caostline will move east several hundred miles, or so.

I just hope for the sake of the people downstream from Hoover that the Dam does not fail in the process. Although the water level is way down, Lake Mead is a very large body of water. It would take weeks to drain. Even in the event of a dam failure. Isn't the water about 600 -800 feet deep at the dam, when full?

How far down is the water level, 50 - 60 feet?

If I lived only a few miles from there like you do, I'd get me a boat just for survival sake.

I don't think (?) that most Californians believe it will not eventually happen. I think they just want to hope it won't happen in their perspective lifetime. My grandparents on my mons side lived in Modesto and Bakersfielsduntil they all died off. They always said it would not happen in their lifetime. I guess they were right.

I am 125' below sea level. I would have ocean front property, though it would be on the sea side of the beach, not the land side. It's so flat here even a runway model wouldn't feel out of place.
