Earl,
It is so hot and humid here that even the buzzards won't fly. Doctors are telling older people (like me) to stay inside as much as possible. It is supposed to cool off into the high 90s late this week but I wouldn't bet much on that.
Did the last hurricane cause you any damage? Or was it far enough away that you got to miss it. Hope so. It is probably following Turk.
Blykins,
For you!
More Bill & Hillary......
Bill and Hillary are at the Yankee's season opener; sitting in
the first row, with the Secret Service people directly behind them. One of the Secret Service guys leans forward and whispers something to Bill.
At first, Clinton stares at the guy, looks at Hillary, looks back
at the agent, and shakes his head "no". The agent then says, "Mr. President, it was a unanimous request of the entire team, from the owner of the team to the bat boy.
" Bill hesitates...but begins to change his mind when the
agent tells him the fans would love it! Bill shrugs his shoulders and says,
"Oh-Kay! If that is what the people want. C'mere Hilly baby..."
With that, Bill gets up, grabs Hillary by her collar and the seat
of her pants, lifts her up, and tosses her right over the wall onto the field.
She gets up kicking, swearing, screaming, "Bill you !*%$%**!!! " The crowd goes absolutely wild. Fans are jumping up & down, cheering, hooting & hollering, and high-fiving. Bill is bowing, smiling and waving to the crowd. He leans over to
the agent and says, "How about that! I would have never blieved how much everyone would enjoy that!" Noticing the agent has gone totally pale, he asks!
What is wrong. The agent replies, "Sir, I said they want you to
throw out the first Pitch!"

Good morning Tru,
Mowing is done. A young guy from the Fire Department came over and did it for me. He wouldn't charge me as he said my lot was not nearly as bad as 99% of the others around here. They have a Volenteer group that works with kids and I told him I would drop by and make a donation to that and he said that would be great. Temperature was 109 while he was mowing and he said he could see why I couldn't take it as he is young and in great shape and he was dragging after about 20 minutes. Really a relief to have that out of the way. Now Im can putmy full concentration into my back and other parts that are falling apart.
A man goes into a lawyer's office and says, "I heard people have sued the tobacco companies for giving them lung cancer, and McDonald's for making them fat."
The lawyer says, "Yes, that's true."
The man says, "Well, I'm interested in suing too."
The lawyer says, "Okay, McDonald's, or the tobacco companies?"
The man says,
"Neither, I'm suing Budweiser for all the ugly people I've slept with.

PC = Potential Coast dweller. Rain, Fog, Hard Winds from Ocean Storms, and 7 days a year that you can drive the Cobra.
Tru,
I just know the one young guy and they work 24 hour shifts and at odd days, so it is easier to do what I did. I just stopped by this morning and gave them some money to help with the volenteer program and if that helps some kid, then it is worth it. It was sure worth it to me to have that mess mowed.
Earl,
I am hoping that your post was not the Trojans that you told me you keep getting. Get the Cobra going and then you can sleep as you will have a fast way to run from the hurricanes.

i'm home
man, what a trip. got home just a little while ago. Been talking to my brother on the phone for awhile. The vultures are hovering, and begging for the computer..... They've been so 'bad' that there is no way they are gonna get this computer. I am so glad I have it password protected.
Probably the worst trip we have ever had. I still have a screaming headache. I never get headaches. Came home a day early, in fact. Just too much to go into on here. Man, it's hot here. It was plenty hot in cool colorado, too. I am gonna go turn down the AC. My elec. bill last month was $1000.05. That is a lot of money to be cool. Not cold. barely cool. I can hardly wait to see what this months' bill is.
I will trade one boy for one of anything else. moody boy is really getting..... hmmmm tough.
lots of frownies on here.
Ron I'm sorry your back has got you down. Glad you found a guy to mow a bit. Did the city guy send over the fireman?
Mike. Mother duck has returned. Have you been roofing, or working on the house, or what??
Earl. glad you're posting some. hope you're feeling better from being sick a while back.
Tru. Weren't you gonna take your wife on a weekend getaway for your anniversary pretty soon? How was the big bash??
Flip. enjoy the drive. blykins. hi. haven't seen you around here in a while.
Steve. hey, man, haven't been over to the texas forum yet to see what you just posted about regarding the august meet. hope you'll be there. you would go to forney just like how you came to my house. long way, tho'.....
I'll be back later. gotta go get some milk and stuff.
Kristen
at least we made it back in time for me to make it to my scrapbook party here tomorrow night!!!!

(One day in the far future)
There is an accident with a blonde involved who happened to like Cobra's so the investigators think it is CG. They aren't sure though so the look for her two friends Steve and Mike. They call Steve down to identify her and he say's "Yep, looks like Kristen, but turn her over". When they do he says “Nope, ain’t her”. Then Mike shows up and they go through the same thing, as soon as they turn her over he says “Nope, ain’t Kristen”. The investigators are puzzled so they ask “You tell us is looks like Kristen, but when we turn her over you say it isn’t her, why?” Mike says “We could tell, because this person only has one butthole and every where we went with her we heard people say: There’s Kristen with them two buttholes”.

Ron, move to Wisconsin. At least the cold will make body parts numb in the winter!
What do you shoot at the range?
Actually, for every one: I was looking at buying one of several handguns before the big ban comes. A Kimber .45 ACP and the .22 conversion. A .40 Smith. There are some .45 GAP out too that look promising. I mostly want to plink to get comfortable with a semi-auto. I haven't shot for a few years and it has always been revolvers. On that note, maybe I should get into Cowboy Action Shooting. Then again, not. Seems most of the Speed Shooters (or whatever it's called as it has escaped my mind at the moment) use a modified 1911. Rob Leatham uses a Springfield and you can get one with his name on it. I don't think I would do justice to it though. I am no means good enough to do well in IPSC, but local ameture events would be fun. I certainly couldn't shoot an El Presidente in 4 seconds or under. So I need something to get comfy with again.

Go for the Kimber, Brent. I almost bought one in a .38 Super. Very, very, very nice handguns...Can't you interchange parts between those and a Colt?
I've shot a race gun...it was a Springfield frame too....38 Super with a laser sight. It was so awesome.

The ones I am looking at are a 1911, but they are a less expensive version of a custom Colt 1911. Sounds like a few customizers went out of business because the Kimber was a better pistol for less money than a regular 1911 with all the goodies. Plus with the .22 conversion (For all 1911's by the way)you can plink all day with the same gun as the full power pistol, albiet with a different slide and magazine. But I have always wanted a SW 10mm for some reason. For bragging rights alone it would be a no-brainer, a SW .500 Magnum.
