Kristen,
I know the feeling. I got a trophy at a place about 60 miles South of here a few Summers ago and drove home in 117 degree, humid weather. By the time I got home I was so wet I thought I had driven under a waterfall. But the real shock was when I opened the door and got out and started to stand up. Boy, talk abut dehydrated. Now I always carry a bottle of water with me. When they took my picture with the trophy I looked like a boiled lobster I was so red and sunburned.
As for the photo, I thought it was a good one. It was in the random pictures on the home page. Funny, ever since you complained about mine showing up and you never seeing one of yours I see yours all the time. Must be nice to have high connections.

funny, I rarely see mine. But, I don't often go to the home page. I "connect" to CC from email notification. I do pop over there occasionally. I haven't seen your photos in awhile, tho'. It's funny how the random thing works. I'll see one pic, and then a few days later see it again. My favorites gallery is full of pics I've caught on the home page. Might be scrapbooking today. (It's wednesday). Mrs. 66snake sometimes makes it. Who knows??
Gary, my caretaker and I had several conversations about the tires/wheels thing yesterday, and he "guided" me to see the light! Looking into new Goodyears, I'll let ya'll know....
I guess my driving him around the track for one session wasn't too bad.... I'm smooth enough on shifting, etc., but I'm still looking for that lost apex... My oldest cobra boy claims he's ill, and can't go to school today. hmm. I should have Mike come play with him today! So, Mike thinks it's boring around here in CC. Let me tell you Mike, tomorrow around my house is a zoo. I could list all the things from sunup to sundown, and you'd be dizzy from all the activities!! Come on down!
gotta go!

One of mine that Ron(CW) put in as a test was on there a few days ago.
Glad you came to your senses about the wheels. If you were going to be doing a lot of serious racing, then the larger wheels would make it easier for you to find good racing tires. As for trying to find the correct apex, did any of them teach you about the corner limit point? That is where you drive at a speed that if a car is stopped in the middle of the track just beyond where you can see around the corner, you can stop before you hit him when he comes into view. This is a little slower than just hauling around the corners, but you will gain speed as you do it because you will learn to adjust your entry angles and then as you get more familiar with the track your apex location will be there without you having to think abut it. This is one of those slower is faster things. Like everything, it takes practice and getting familiar with the track conditions, which will change from day to day.
Mike can't take a day off from school. He is to young to be cutting classes.

Okay!!! THAT ANSWERS A LOT OF QUESTIONS!!!
Ron, where in the wide world of sports did you find that picture of Kristen???? WOW!
Kristen, a quantity of something is as defined by weight, in the form of weightless items is equal to the representation of weight. You do not have a ton of posts. Ron has over a ton, but, since you are going to blast me for spelling, you do not have a ton of posts.
There are clear cut indications that this thread has no topic... where they are I do not know.
hehehehe

I was meaning I had posted more than a "ton of people" who had posted here. Guess I wasn't clear.... maybe It's better that I say "man, I post more than zillions of people on CC"
hehe. Forget the weight thing, and move onto tangible numerals.... hehe. again....
He got that pic out of my gallery. I've posted "zillions" of photos, (compared to tons of photos) they don't weigh anything in my gallery . If you haven't been to my gallery, then feel free to spend eons of time (rather than tons of time) looking around. hehe once more!!
now isn't this fun???
BTW- you had 'absolute zero' spelling errors in that last post. Shall I heap a tonne of praise, or just a few kind words??
hahaha

Good, I sure would hate to do that.
SO, what is the game plan for the get-to-gether???
I hope I get to see you all at the fling, even if they don't have it.

Hey, Earl! short memory going on here. My in-laws take all their grandkids to disney when they are 6-8 or so. Well, my girls are the "last to go", and it is scheduled over Spring break. My sons went a few years ago, with my nephew, who is between my boys' age. My sister in law went to "help" ride rides, etc. Since it's my girls, I'm the one who will go to "help". (yuck on the rides)
Well, the Texas CC is having their spring meet the same time! I'm having to miss the spring meet. My car has never missed the meet, (with previous owner, Gary). So, I'm kinda bummed about it. Now I'm working on being able to do both, with disney, etc. from the start, and the texas meet at the end. All a matter of times, flights, etc. Now my niece, who is 16, said that she planned on going as the "helper" for my girls ever since she had her turn! Sooo, maybe I won't go to disney ( ) (although was looking forward to the trip) and just to Austin. Or maybe if everybody works around my schedule I'll do both! Hubby and boys are going skiing in Colorado. Separate vacations work well for us. Probably next spring break (06) we all will go skiing. Who knows.... So, that's the story on disney. We went to Legoland in San diego a couple of years ago (had a wonderful time), but haven't made it to Disneyland since I was around 12 years old!
That's the scoop. More on it later, as it unfolds. How close is Daytona to Orlando? I'm guessing not very close.

Kristen,
Use the map feature on the Internet and it will give you the miles and driving route that is best for from where you are to where you want to go. It will also give you the estimated time to drive that far.
Tru,
I actually saw that picture of Kristen on the random pictures on the home page and just couldn't resist. You should go browse her gallery. Some really nice and interesting pictures in there. I thought about down loading that one and doing a little work on it then posting it but decided not to.

CG, Its about 45 miles to Disney from here. Keep me posted. If you do come try and make the Friday or Saturday night car show in Old Town, just about 8 miles outside the Disney gates. Earl
