Ron,
Your story about the ungrateful woman and the tire reminded me of an event I had about 30 years ago.
It was a cold and very windy day here in Dallas,I was at Northpark Mall.
While walking up to the north side of the mall to the big glass doors I saw a woman struggling to pull open the door against a gale force wind.Being at best 4' 10-11" she wasn't having much luck.
I smiled and opened the door for her .She wasted no time getting inside.But instead of being polite and saying thanks she got mad and started giving me a load of $hit for opening the door for her.
You know the typical stuff about being a strong independent woman that didn't need any help from any man.On and on and on....
After just a little of this my patience with the little ill tempered wench ran out.
I picked her up from under the arm pits and put her back outside.
It was a lot nicer listening to her as she struggled with the door with her outside and me inside.
After a while I smiled at her and left to take care of my business,with her still outside.

Fred,
I love the way you handled that. Now I wish I had taken the darn wheel back off and left her standing there. But she didn't even know what a lug wrench was when I asked here if she had one.
THANK GOODNESS WE ARE NOT THIS OLD!
An older couple decides to go to the doctor for a checkup. The doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember.
That night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. His wife asks, "Where are you going?" "To the kitchen" he replies. "Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?" "Sure," he replies. "Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks. "No, I can remember it."
"Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. You'd better write that down because you know you'll forget it." He says, "I can remember that! You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries."
"I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, so you'd better write it down!" she retorts. Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Leave me alone! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!" Then, grumbling, he heads for the kitchen.
Twenty minutes later, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment and asks, "Where's my toast?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A senior citizen said to his 80-year old buddy:
"So I hear you're getting Married?"
"Yep!"
"Do I know her?"
"Nope!"
"This woman, is she good looking?"
"Not really."
"Is she a good cook?"
"Naw, she can't cook too well."
"Does she have lots of money?"
"Nope! Poor as a church mouse."
"Well then, is she good in bed?"
"I don't know."
"Why in the world do you want to marry her then?"
"Because she can still drive!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, "Windy, isn't it?"
Second one says, "No, it’s Thursday!"
Third one says, "So am I. Let's go get a beer."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A man was telling his neighbor, "I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect."
"Really," answered the neighbor. "What kind is it?" Twelve thirty."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
A few days later the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later the doctor spoke to Morris and said, "You're really doing great, aren't you?"
Morris replied, "Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'"
The doctor said, "I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur. Be careful.'"

Tru,
Just for you I will post this one in the new jokes thread if I can find it. My doctor isn't happy as I went to one of the show and shines yesterday and was sick the rest of the day. It is raining today, so I will spend most of the day in bed or just laying around. Man, I tell you this last week or so has been very trying to both my patience and faith.

Ron- just re-read your last post very carefully...
"...this last week has been very trying to my patience and my faith."
Given that Patience is probably your BH, who is Faith?
If she's your daughter, never mind.
But if she is like, um, your housekeeper, or like um a "friend," we could like, um... talk.

hey, UT. glad to see you around. Ron isn't married, has no kids. (that he, uh, I know about )
He was referring to his health issues, which seem to vary from feeling ok to feeling poorly. Patience and faith.

took this pretty little pic last evening....
another shot....
you guys sure have been quiet around here. What a beautiful day in big Tex yesterday and today. Took a roll of pics of the cobra in the bluebonnets, and a few digital. The digital turned out a lot better. Surprised me. The film had too much flash, or not enough. Oh well.
Missing you Ron. Hope you're feeling ok. Kids are out of school tomorrow. (unused snow day)
They 'took' the computer all day today, and probably will all day tomorrow. I'll sneak on when I can.... )
