I hope that everything goes back together fast and easy for you. Even if you miss the car show you can still enjoy the car and there must be more than one car show back there. We have five or six small ones a year even here. And then the big one in April to start the year. You could ease out in 1st until it was moving and then go to 2nd and on through the gears. Starting in 2nd could lead to another clutch problem if you do it often. But not being a drag racer I really don't know much about it. Not much traction in the first two gears with regular tires, and putting slicks on really is hard on 2nd gear starts according to a guy here who tried it. Keep plugging and you will have it done soon.
