Actually, I think I pulled it while working on the Cobra. When the doctor asked me how I was, I said I felt like Chester. Of course, I was referring to the character with the limp on Gunsmoke.

The doctor's reply was, "So you feel like Chester the Molester?" Cracked me up!

P.S. My doctor is a great looking 30 year old female!

My Dr. is really old but well preserved.I would guess she is in the 40 range.

Never pulled that muscle.Doesn't sound like something I want to do anytime soon.
Take a month or 2 to get over it ?

Muscle pulls for OLD men are just a fact of life. Fortunately at my age, all of my muscles have long since been stretched past the point that they can be pulled any more.

Sorry to hear about your leg Warren. All kidding aside, I hope this is not serious.

Ron, your car looks nice...at that other person's house.

I have five trees down from the wind. Looks like there is going to be some cutting.

Tru
Just a badly pulled muscle. I'll get over it, but it hurts. The biggest hurt is that I cannot work on the Cobra. Doctor gave me a muscle relaxer pill. Will have to try it tonight. What really sucks is trying to walk up or down a set of stairs. It takes a loooooong time, when you take it one foot at a time while holding on to both side rails.

Fred
Doctor said 6 to 8 weeks.

Ron
Nothing for you

Not me!
You have 2 really nice Mustangs, a Cobra, a husband and some upstanding kids, all your friends on CC respect you (When Harry met Sally) and you just went on a 250 mile cruise! You should be excited. You should not be sad for losing a friend in an accident. You should celebrate his life. I'm sure he would not want you to be sad.

I'm not sad and I just went to the doctor and she chastised me, my Cobra is up on jack stands, it hit 87 ºF this afternoon and I could not go for a ride, turtle may have dry rot and needs a good shellacking, my leg hurts, Tru is threatening to go for a ride (but he'll find an excuse), the Red Sox lost tonight and Ron thinks that all I do is push my Cobra around and wax it every day.

Oh yea, nothing for you Ron!

Kristen,

We have missed your posts and am looking forward to when things get back to normal again if they ever do. Believe me, I know what it is like to lose friends and family. But you have great things going as , and oh the pain of admitting this, Warren said. You will soon be back to your joyous self again and trading insults with us.
My big day is going into the muffler shop in Redding this morning and having new exhaust pipes installed on the Comet. I am so excited I can hardly contain it.
That is ok Warren. I know that one of these days you will actually drive your Cobra.

Ron

Kristen,
On top of that,he is mean spirited.
Unlike your buddies on this thread.

No harm or ill will is intended in the least when we insult each other here....unless it is directed at Turtle.

Fred,

A little sympathy for Turtle please. Warren thinks he may be suffering from Dry Rot. What kind of wax would you recommend to cure him of that?

Show & Tell

Just came across the news. For Real.

A DFW area Elementry school has just been shutdown.
A Fourth Grade girl brought a Hand Granade to school for Show & Tell. She got to the Show part but the Tell part was cut a little short as the classroom emptied.

Yea it is my understanding this happened in Southlake.

Isn't that where all the "GOOD KIDS" are supposed to be. LMAO

K
Your right!
It is always amazing to me how some people can hide behind animinity when on a public forum. The comments made must be a reflexion of what is seen in the mirror each day. Your a class act, and anyone that says anything different (that is not in jest) simply does know you.

Tru,

Just got a call from Tony. I will meet him at Bills Friday around noon and we will close the deal on the Coupe. It may not be completely ready for me to bring home, but at this stage what is a few more days. Most of the major work is done and I need Tony to go through the software with me for the fuel mapping and such. Bill still has a couple of minor things once he gets the new computer in and all working. Parking brake adjustment, check the headlights to see when they go off when hitting a bump with them on high beam, Have the stereo hooked up and the air conditioner pumped down from the lubricant and charged and then drive it for a while and park it to test for any oil or water leaks. I have never had but one car in my life that never had small oil drips and that was the Cobra I sold so I expect this one to have a couple of small ones. I do like the fact it gets its 530 horse and 650 pound of torque on pump gas and is track legal. My goal is to maybe have it here home sometime near the end of next week unless the stuff goes faster than expected.

Ron

What a strange web of threads comprised of posts.

Ron, you only live once, do what you think is right for you.

HLC ( How often do I use that ? ), I do not know what it is, but always consider the source.

Fred, Keep those one liners coming.

Warren, your body will heal.

Steve, it is known to some as Karma.

Me, I'm just some screwy guy that wants one more day...each day before.

Well put Tru.

We all know who our friends are. I have found that we "think" we know who our friends are.

It is some ill placed comments that teach us who our friends are not. I found that out the hard way.

Hey I found this picture of True out for a ride over on the other site and of all things he has it in the Racing Cars category. Doing well in the voting for the top 20 too.
