I feel your pain Tru  . I just put $45 in the Cobra on Friday and put another $20 in it today. But its worth it.
I tried taking some different photo's during the sunset tonight. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d.../DSCN22101.JPG http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCN2201.JPG http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCN2219.JPG http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d.../DSCN22121.JPG |
Warren,
Very nice pictures as usual. In fact your pictures are so nice and I miss my Cobra so bad that I am thinking of getting off the Internet as I just don't feel I belong in any car site when I don't have a car. My health is really starting to take a steep downward spiral and I am fighting depression all the time. At least when I had a car I could go for a drive and sort of forget everything for a while. You, Tru, Fred, Kristen and many others have really made my life enjoyable over the past few years. And Fred Douglas, I can't forget as I have enjoyed his e-mails and all of his knowledge about the history a great deal. So many have befriended me and helped me in many ways that I can't begin to name or even remember them all. I am not saying that I am going to drop out, but this is an option that has to be considered and I felt I owed it to all of you to let you know it may happen. And to the ones that dislike me it will be a day to party if it has to happen. Personally I am hoping that it won't, but until I see my doctor again for a couple of times I just don't know what is going to happen. Ron  |
Ron
Pleeeeeasssseee do not drop out. We enjoy your wit and wisdom, even though you do not have an "odd amphibian".  |
Ron, call that son-of-a-gun with you car and ask if you can get it done.
You need a spirited romp with the ricers to spark that depression into... Well, he!!, I not sure where, but we exist as a unit and you are part of that unit. AND, what about those puppies???? Odd amphibian? :D :D :D |
Ron,
Call your doctor and get some Viagra, you'll forget all about your depression. You will have other issues that need to be addressed. Beside this thread is dinosaur friendly and since you are the resident, you do not have the luxury of making that decision without a unanimous vote from the board. |
Hey
Not to change the subject here but I heard that John Force was in a wreck and broke both legs and his wrist at Texas Motorplex on Sunday. I heard he wrecked into Kenny Bernstein and was airlifted to Baylor Medical center. Has anyone seen the video and / or know the details. |
Tru, It is all Warren's fault with all of his rides and pictures. I enjoy our chats and insults more than any of you could imagine, but not having a car is just really getting to me. And with our Winter just starting to set in I doubt if there would be many driving days if I had one. I just wish that I know more about cars and engines so once in a while I could contribute something that is worthwhile. I know the theory, but knowing it and actually doing it are completely different worlds. If my eyesight was better and Bill would get the steering column down, I could trace the wires and draw out a schematic which would take that dam computer out of everything pretty easy. I may go in and talk to him today. Ron :JEKYLHYDE |
Steve
It was on TV last night. Bernstein's car caught the finish line box of lights and shot it over into Force's car. It hit the rear tire and it exploded, cutting the car in half. Bernstein had no injures, but the funny car "body" was destroyed. Force's car is 101% junk. No fires, but his car slammed the wall at close to 300 MPH. Amazing crash. He was conscious all the time, but a few broken bones, deep lacerations and a concussion. Its probably on You Tube. I'll go and check. Edit - found it http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/lounge/82432-john-force-crash.html |
Steve,
I was watching the race and after several replays they determined that the light box went behind Force's car and that it broke into when he popped the chutes. That was a scary thing to watch, and to top it off he won the race. Small consolation. Ron |

Ron
Is it OK if I post a picture of a picture? Edited because I deleted many pics from my gallery. |
Ron, call, write, email...do whatever it takes to get you A$$ on the road!
It can not be that hard to remove the EFI, ask him to move it along. Pop the puppies in the front seat next to you and go out for a cruise. :D :D :D |
Warren, why am I looking at that same picture you have on CC as your wallpaper???
Is there something we need to see? Is that family tree maker? I hate this being late to the party. :D |
Ron. if you don't post here because you don't have a cobra or other similar car, then i guess you should take about half the members with you... there are an awful lot of CC members that don't have cobra. You don't have to have one- you know that- but just have to be an enthusiast. :)
no new news there. ;) now if you don't feel well and you don't want to post because of that, that's a different story. I hope you get to feeling better really soon. You've had ups and downs before, and usually get to feeling better. :) enjoy the day. :) k |

Warren,
That is one of the most cluttered computer desktops I have seen in a long time. I think I have 4 icons on mine and I keep them off. Is there actually a picture somewhere in behind all that mess? Remember when you computer crashes that you had all that on there. I will post a picture of my desktop later and show you what one should look like. Ron  |
Speaking of ancestors....
I was doing a little research on Ron's and found out he has some ties to Texas. http://www.baylor.edu/pr/news.php?ac...ry&story=44819 |
:3DSMILE:
Fred, I have always wondered where Tiny got away to. Warren, See below for a clean desktop. %/ |
Tru,
Just got off the phone with Bill. It amounts to a lot more than just removing the fuel injection. They have that dam computer wired into almost everything on the car and he is going to have to remove everything and then start pulling wires to see where they go. He did say he had my wheel back and had found some good tires for it and that in a couple of weeks he may call me and ask me to come down on the weekend and help him with the wire tracing. This guy does things right and is snowed under with engines and stuff for the racers so he does stuff for me more or less on the side. The odd thing about it is he is wealthy and just started building engines as a hobby and now everyone around here wants him to build their engines and rear ends. So with Winter coming on I don't see any reason to rush him and anything he does he guarantees. This has turned into a nightmare that I never expected as I never thought about everything on the dam car being controlled by that piece of crap computer, even the radiator fans. I may not live long enough for him to get it all figured out as to what all he has to do to make stuff work without the computer. :( Ron  |
Warren, my ancestors were trying to get your ancestors to leave.
  No, you are not white trash, you just got kicked out of your country so you HAD come over here.  |
