Post # 5000. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa team.
Ra, ra, sis boom ba! Edit - post 5001. You snuck in while I had to wait 90 seconds. Boo Hoo |

Yea, but you have passed the 4,000 post count. Are you taking your laptop so you can keep in touch while you are off enjoying yourself? ;) Ron :) |

If I do not post anything, the laptop will be at home. |

I've been noticing the last year that our typing habits are starting to rub off on Kristen.  |

Fred, You notice she doesn't post as much as she used to. I know that she is really busy, but you know how it is when the majority is lousy at something they will tend to drag a person that is good at it down somewhat. If Warren thinks my spelling is bad, he should see me going through the Atlas trying to figure out which abbreviation means what state for some of them. Ron %/ |
how's ya'll's doin'??? :D
the rain was horrendous!! An umbrella would have been useful if.... 1. I didn't have my arms absolutely filled with bags, boxes, keys, and other things. 2. It had been able to stay open. I bet the wind would have ripped it wrong side out! man I am tired! Both girls have big projects due soon. #3's is due Wednesday, and she had her first serious taste of a rough draft, notecards, outline, etc. I typed her final draft, but we must time it tomorrow and edit as needed. We went to the grocery store for mangoes, bananas, orange juice. We are making 'mango smoothies' as the class treat. She also has to dress in 'costume.' Any ideas of which country her report is covering?? Well country might be a bit loosely used. ;) #4 has a report on Flat Stanley. Any guesses who Stanley is??? CC down all day today, again. Well at least I got a couple of things done, with the girls. Actually made it to church, too. Two weeks in a row, or so. ;) ttyt!! k |
Kristen,
No wonder you haven't been around much lately - you have been way too busy. Had a great ride out to the North Shore today and made 4 jumps which put me at 12,001 - had to make one more for good luck on my upcoming MRI on Thursday. The weather was perfect going and returning - no rain!:) Tomorrow I stay home and work on our house. Mama says"it's about time!" |
Well, CC is at least back online. Its been out periodically over the last week.
Flip - congrats on crossing 12K jumps. I'm still at ZERO. Kristen - Puerto Rico Stanley Lambchop is a book character, similar to Sat Night Live Mr Bill. ohhhhhhh nooooooooooo! Splat. Flat as a pancake. Just finished packing. |
:)
Kristen, Best of luck with all of your projects. I don't know how you can keep up with everything, but do admire you for it. My biggest project is getting up in the morning and getting into a mirror to see if I am still alive. Flip, Congratulations on the 12,000th jump. Now that you have posted it and everyone has read it, I am sure you will soon be receiving a notice from the Air Born that your services are needed. :D Warren, Have a great trip and have fun for all of us. If we don't hear from you for a month or so we will know that you left the laptop home or have been having to much fun to stop. :) Edit: Weather here is cool and the report says rain tomorrow and the next day. We could sure use it. Ron :) |
hey'littlecobra
Kristen, Typing up drafts, school projects - guess being a teacher has advantages..:3DSMILE: Hope you have had time to get ready for the Run N Gun...**) |
Well helloooooo there. How are we all doing?
I see Warren is going on vacation? HLC is working the mom thingy and the rest are counting posts on CC. :D :D |
:D :D
Yea, Warren had to get away from all of that driving around he has been doing. So he is going to drive even farther. How do you take a vacation from doing nothing? Ron ;) |
Boston to Maine road trip ?
Is that something like going from Dallas to Ft. Worth for Mexican Food ??:) |
Fred!!!!!! You are the man.
   |
Who da guy Buckeye Mike with 4 bazillion posts. he smacked Ernie and Ron!
|
Flip,
I can't stand to stay at a computer that long. I haven't written that many words in my life. Now Ernie is really going to have a goal to shoot at. Ron :JEKYLHYDE |
Flip - That is amazing (12,000 jumps). I barely made it thru 5 (four static line and then one free fall) when I was a kid. The old military chutes brought you down faster (so you weren’t shot, and less maneuverable it looks like). We used to pass the hat and everyone pitched in a dollar. The closest to the target got the kitty less one buck, and that always went to the guy furthest away. My first jump I got my buck back....landed in a corn field. I had barber polled, and by the time i got that worked out I had trouble finding the airport. I took four of us to pull my chute out (full of corn, etc.). Our Sargent (our jump master that had his twenty in) really reminded me ( in a PC way of course) of how to do it right next time. I always got it right after that.....good motvation!:JEKYLHYDE
Ron - I'm with you now, can't see the reason to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft. Take care, |
Jon,
I once got close enough to trying sky diving to go to the local clubs meeting once. But I can fall off the house without trying, so I sure don't want to jump out of a plane just to see how far I can fall. Funny thing is, I love flying, but just can't think of any reason I would want to jump. I would most likely go down with the plane. Ron :) |
My tastes have changed, I used to fly four times a week, now I hate going to the airport.
It isn't the plane or being in the air, it's the people and crap. The stewardesses are for the most part brazen to the power they wield by saving you are a terrorist if you complain about something. And then there is getting to the plane. I love being searched while the terrorist looking guy walks past because we do not profile. Why is it I always get searched?? Don't get me started. |
Tru, You get searched because you don't fit a profile. I haven't been to San Francisco Int. for some time now, but I used to get stopped and pulled out of line on a regular basis because I had some kind of test equipment in my carry on. Even a simple volt meter. The most ridiculous time was when they held me and finally got three of their top security supervisors to come examine a BOOK that I was carrying in my hand. It was a bunch of circuit pack schematics with the gates and chips shown and the guard that first stopped me informed me that no computer had anything like that in it. That was the only time that I ever really got a little disgusted because of being stopped. I don't know what they thought I was going to do with that book. Ron :) |
