Steve,
I have to take it back. I don't think it is possible to start a thread that some people can't turn into a confrontation.
CDC,
How much land or how many houses can a person own before it becomes political?

CdC,
Any reason that the Carrera GT didn't make the list over the Aston? It was higher on the list of the 10 most expensive cars than the Aston. http://www.automotoportal.com/articl...s_in_the_world
BTW, didn't you say that English cars are lame? You do know that Astons and McLarens are built in the UK, right?
I do have to admit, though, that I had never heard of a Koenigsegg CCX. I looked it up, and it does have an impressive set of stats. Thanks for the pointer on that one.
Steve

Driving the most expensive cars in the world would be a thrill for me, as to the Carrera - I had one years ago - it was a piece of S__T. I was just kidding about UK cars, that's what I do. You just don't get my sense of humor.

It would be a thrill for me as well. The Carrera GT is a completely different animal than a Carrera.
Your comments on the other thread seemed more like an insult to AHarris, Canadians, and Brits. To me, your comments seemed to come more from ignorance than humour. You say you were kidding - so be it...and you're right - I don't get that sort of sense of humour. Maybe you should consider using the smilies.
OK, hatchet buried (and not in your head).
See Jamo...no need to close the thread - we would have worked it out eventually. Still - we went from an argument about politics to one about cars - has that ever happened before??
And I never did get to find out what Bernie thinks I have in common with Adams...

I don't feel the hatchet, as I've got a gun! Besides, you may as well post to a wall as I've no interest in your uppity opinion relating to my sense of humor or cars - but in America we tolerate so much, I just wish that we would tolerate less from stupid people.

I think its interesting that most of us pick a 427 over a 289. Without getting into a 'which is better or worse' argument - is it power, styling, or ??? that makes the 427 more interesting for most?
I personally like the 289s - specifically, the FIA cars and the AC Daytona. I like the history associated with them.

For me it's the bulbous styling. I love the fat fenders, tires, bigger grill opening....

I would love a small block Cobra as well, be it a street car, comp car, FIA or Daytona Coupe. But they just don't do it for me as much as other cars that I'd rather drive.
