I change then channel when they show him at bat. Not because I don't want the record broken, I just wish it could have been by a real person and not that arrogant, self centered excuse for a ball player. How many World Series have teams Bonds has played on won?

The Giants are in LA playing the Dodgers so there was a story in the paper this morning as to whether or not the LA fans should boo Bonds if he ties and possibly breaks the record. The final conclusion was that the fans should boo him each time he comes to the plate but that they should be totally silent if he hits one out of the park. I somehow think that will not happen.

Bucket Head Bonds did it. It was only a matter of time. At least a fan will benefit. Some say it is worth anywhere from 400,000- 1,000,000.
Put it in a nice display case right next to a syringe!

Now watch him retire and complain the rest of his life about how he was treated. I am not a Giants fan, but maybe if that ego goes away they can become a team again and win a title. So far, since moving to San Francisco, they have had two stadiums, millions paid to whiners and people like Bonds, and no World Series titles. I wish Mays and McCovey were back.

A little respect for Barry Bonds, the home run king.
Some of you guys believe the media BS that he's on roids. There is no proof that he used and he's tested negative when all this controversy started. People say he's bigger now. No kidding, the guy is in his forties. I'm sure you guys have gained weight too since your twenties.
You can't deny his CAREER achievements and natural talent. Its easy to sit in your easy boy and call this guy a bum when none of you can hit a fastball, curve, slider or changeup. The guy is a first ballot hall of famer and there will be no asterisk. I'm enjoying this moment in history because it only comes around every twenty years or so. Next time it happens, you guys will be in the nursing home. Being cynical and cold during this place in time is your loss not mine.

CoBro,
Everyone can believe as they like. I use him as an example to my grandsons of what not to be like. Just because he wasn't caught in testing doesn't mean he didn't do it (remember "the clear"). What is so sad about it is that we don't know what his natural talent is (unless you look at his performance prior to the amazing leap he made). There will always be an asterisk in everyone's mind if not on paper that he cheated.

doesn't matter....
A Rod will beat it before too terribly long anyway.
the guy oughta sell that ball right now- while it's still worth something. IMHO, the value will just DECREASE as time goes on- things are always HOT right off the 'bat'. (pun intended) In a short time, I think it won't matter anymore.
It really doesn't matter if Bonds used steroids or not. The PERCEIVED notion is that he did, or at least something fishy was going on. I'm not accusing him of it; just that his reputation will always be questionable, and he will never be able to change the reputation. Even if he is undeniably, irrefutably 'cleared' I think people's minds are already made up- rightly or wrongly.
again, just my $.02.

So far as Bonds being a first ballot hall of famer, don't bet on it. People said the same thing about Pete Rose and never would believe he bet on games until after he was no longer even eligible for the hall and then he came on TV and said he not only bet on games, but he bet on ones that he played in. Enjoy being young and knowing all there is to know because you will come to a time when you are older and the younger generation will look at you with the same disdain you look at us with as they will know everything and you will be a doddering old idiot.

758 and counting.
The perception that he's guilty is the media's fault. Newscasts are full of BS and if you buy what there selling I feel bad for you. Innocent until proven guilty, people.
BTW, pitch to Barry. If you hit him, he will hit you back.
