Bob,
Santa is on the way out. He offends to many illegals. We haven't had Santas in the stores here for quite a while now as they are all afraid of some dam illegal suing them. I don't think it is a law yet, but it will soon be along with another batch of insane legislation. I am thinking of suing Mexico because I am not Mexican.

It snowed here this morning!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Apparently not all Santa's are good. Bad Santa is still one of my favorite comedies, Ron. Billy Bob Thornton does nice work.
The only problem with suing Mexico might be that you have to go to a Mexican court to do so. They are even worse than our courts.
We are having turkey. Sure we had to kill him first ...but this one committed a capital offense anyway. He was apparently stealing food from other turkeys in his neighborhood. Actually, that's what we like about him.

Wes,
Then based on the way the law works now you should have killed the other turkeys not the one stealing food. He is the one with all the rights. And now I suppose you will don you cannibal costume and eat him.

That's true, Ron. There are only a few Bad Santa's. But all us turkey's are evil birds. We'll eat almost anything. Even other turkey's. However we always log on ...er sit down to eat ...as normal people.
I hate to think of killing normal turkeys that are just trying to get along. Besides, the rest of the normal turkeys are needed to ensure that a lot of food is handed out so there is something to steal.

Bob,
I think you read more into Kristen's post than was said. As Mike said, get to know her a little better before assuming that what she posts refers to you. I have posted and talked to her for a long time and know how to read her posts. She was referring to ME.

Ron is part right.
Bob,there is little guessing when Kristen is calling you an idiot or lunatic.
That is why I don't understand how Ron could have thought she was referring to him too.
You two need to get a grip !
Unless y'all have moved to Texas, dyed your hair red and changed your name to Fred....Kristen was referring to me.
Heck,I'm not too sure she even remembers my proper name anymore.

Just got home from leaving Frenchy in the hospital. Won't see either of them again.
Darn, Kristen when you refer to someone as an idiot name them. Now you have everyone claiming to be one. Fred and Mike I agree with.

Bob,
I wasn't trying to be a smart as*. Sometimes we all read some one's posts and read more into them than they meant. I have always been referred to as the old idiot of the club. Maybe I should change my avatar to reflect that. Hope that your holiday was great.

Like me thinking Ron was calling me a turkey for implying that I have to "don you cannibal costume and eat him" (the turkey). I sure it was inadvertent on Ron's part.
Or was it?
No harm done, Ron. It was fun to go with admittedly being a turkey in my next post anyway.
================================================== =======\
In all seriousness:
Kristen wasn't too far off when she said, "This country is overflowing with dumba$$es. Idiots that will believe anything put in front of them. Can we send all our idiots over the wall to Mexico???". I might add, the aforementioned idiots not seeing that which is not right in front. It takes an effort to see through the fog ...and skepticism should go both ways. The old adage, "Believe nothing you hear, nothing you read and only half of what you see", applies imho.
What is most remarkable for the site, in WarranG's first post, ( http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/Gl...est/start.html ) is what is left out.
The above mentioned West Virginia Coal website (Plant Fossils of West Virginia) seems to make climate change sound good as long as it's not another ice age. In fact it is very clever in helping us "learn" such (CATO?). Underneath, this site appears to be all about promoting a positive spin on continued extensive use (and $ale) of fossil fuels. It fails to mention that our temperate zones, where most of us currently live, may become dessert or monsoon regions significantly sooner due to human error; and then perhaps flip rather rapidly to another Ice Age. In view of this, coal use and climate change might not be so good for property values. The probable motive: the site is put out by coal operatives trying to pooh-pooh the inherent dangers in humans accelerating cyclical climate change that would eventually naturally occur, but historically later.
Much less biased general climate change information can more likely be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming .
A good source of the probability of why the overwhelming majority of scientists who work on climate change agree on the main points can be found at
http://www.royalsoc.ac.uk/downloaddoc.asp?id=1630 . The 19 page pdf site introduces some of the counter arguments produced by fossil fuel interests and attempts to shoot the corporate propoganda down.
We can be skeptical that climate change is caused by humans.
We can be skeptical that climate change is not caused by humans.
If one or the other is wrong, which would be the least/most desirable error?
In other words, which is our desired method of suffering sooner? Extreme conservation or extreme weather?

Wes,
I never pay any attention to what you call me as I know you would be right.
And this country does more than it's share of dumb people and I think most of them are in Congress. Not sure if Hillery counts as a person or not.

No, no, Ron. Technically you called me a turkey since you implied I would have to be a cannibal to eat one. And you would be right.
However you may be one also, if you wish, but since you are even older than I, I can't help but think you would be tough and stringy, while I am still relatively tender.
You are right about most of congress. I beginning to think the democrats will run Hillary in '08 and they will lose. I consider her more of a corporate puppet than G.W. has been, and at least he has a long corporate family history he is expected to carry on. Hillary and Bill are/were more like sellouts to the working class that they pretend(ed) to represent. Is Hillary a person or not? I think she may have combined the two oldest professions, with politics being number two.

Christopher Booker's Notebook
By Christopher Booker
Last Updated: 1:48am GMT 25/11/2007
We are set on a course of 'planet saving' madness
The scare over global warming, and our politicians' response to it, is becoming ever more bizarre. On the one hand we have the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change coming up with yet another of its notoriously politicised reports, hyping up the scare by claiming that world surface temperatures have been higher in 11 of the past 12 years (1995-2006) than ever previously recorded.
This carefully ignores the latest US satellite figures showing temperatures having fallen since 1998, declining in 2007 to a 1983 level - not to mention the newly revised figures for US surface temperatures showing that the 1930s had four of the 10 warmest years of the past century, with the hottest year of all being not 1998, as was previously claimed, but 1934.
Finish your assignment http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...5/nbook125.xml
