Default "Hey Little Cobra" Song history.

Carol Connors talks about how and why she wrote it.

Half way down look for Cobra picture.

Ya I thought so too. I thought it was a Beach Boys creation and had no idea Shelby was involved. Wonder who owns that very special CSX today.

Off the top of my head, I don't know the CSX number of Carol's Cobra, but I do believe that it was purchased originally in 1963, and I seem to recall that it was a 260-powered model.

The Cobra on the cover of the Rip Chords album was CSX2128, which was a 289 powered Cobra called the 'Sebring Roadster.' It's got a pretty extensive race history.

Your pal,
Meat.

If I recall correctly that Cobra was auctioned off at a big car auction a year or so ago, and brought around $2 million. For some reason I want to think it was Russo Steele that had the car but that is probably not correct.

No ... because CSX2128 has a hell of a lot of race history, and is linked to Dan Gurney, Dave McDonald, Graham Shaw, Ken Miles and Ed Leslie.

It was one of the most winning of the Sebring Cobras, as well as being a factory racer.

Meat.
